Stop. Uncle told me that I'm the kind of person who would just think of some silly ideas that are often unlikely to happen. I am not quite sure of that, but maybe the reason behind my weird imagination is from reading books about fictions and fantasies. Maybe. I let out a yawn while I browse through the pages of the book I was studying. It feels kind of drowsy when you're reading a book with no pictures in it. I am maybe an athlete student at my school, but I still need to maintain a passing grade. I don’t know where my study leads me.

My first stop was the romance section, hoping to find a few good books to take back to my room for some relaxing reading. As I scanned the titles, one in particular caught my eye: The Toad and Her Man. The title alone made me burst into laughter. It was so absurdly funny that I couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of what the story might entail. I decided to add it to my growing stack of books.

“Why did you not laugh?” Fay slowly got to her feet and cast a patronizing glance at Mina. "How do you feel about that? Is your joke truly funny? Check to see who is still laughing among those in attendance. Furthermore, a joke isn't considered a joke if it doesn't make the person telling it laugh,” After pausing, she went on, "It is called having a foul mouth." Everyone's odd eyes shifted to Mina as Fay said these words. Mina’s cheeks abruptly turned scarlet, and her eyes were full of hate as she gave Fay a scathing glance.

"What do you like to do for fun?" "Reading," I say without skipping a beat, and the confusion on his face grows too much; it makes me confused. "I like reading books to pass the time and have fun," I stuttered hard because he was judging me hard, and it made me feel uncomfortable. "I did not say anything," he said as he leaned back into his chair, his eyes staying on mine, and I sat there trying to make him see the reason why reading was fun. "But you were looking at me like I had said something stupid," I murmur and forcefully push the spoon into my mouth with my head still hanging low, not ready to look at him so I do not feel worse.

What is funny again? But she really was adorable laughing over nothing. And why does she keep wearing wigs?? “uh… most times, I prefer reading than watching. If I see a catchy movie, i could just browse out the book behind it. Acting always has a kind of interpretation that most times differs from the really juicy story. I prefer to get the details fresh… and not interpreted.” Somehow he’s been seeing her as someone he can talk with about his reading life. All the people he calls friends are hopeless when it gets to this.

She stares at him, "F.U.N, one, activities that are enjoyable or amusing. Two, violent and excited activity. Three-" His hand clamps over her mouth, "firstly, reading the dictionary isn't fun. It's boring. B.O.R.I.N.G, so lacking in interest to cause mental weariness. In short, opposite of fun." He rambles. The girl raises an eyebrow as if to say, 'looks like I'm not the only one that reads the dictionary'. He frowns at her clear assumption, clearing his throat he removes his hand from her mouth and latches onto her hand.

In fact, the pile of my words can be categorised as rambling. Well, I loved reading newspapers, inspirational books, classics and most importantly, novels. Love stories are a key to my heart and a fuel to my imagination. I was teased by the name 'reading maniac' because I could literally read anything. All I need is a piece of writing. Though this habit is considered ‘boring’ by my friends, but I like it so, I do it and I have no regrets or problem in being called a ‘boring person’.

"I knew right then she wasn't cut out for the big leagues." That was a recital when I was eight years old. It was my first time facing such a large audience, and I did get stage fright. But Rhys was the first one to rush onto the stage to comfort me back then. He told me, "Maeve, you played wonderfully. Those people just don't understand music." Now he was using it to humiliate me. Laughter echoed through the room, and my cheeks burned. He was mocking me in public, turning my past humiliation into a punchline.

And oddly entertaining. But it was a good distraction reading his texts – a stupid, oddly timed, mildly amusing distraction in a world where everything else felt like it was rotting around me – because they made me laugh, even though his texts weren't the kind that made a girl's heart flutter or brought heat to her cheeks. More like that dry, unimpressed laugh you let slip when someone's trying too hard and failing spectacularly. Jaden: > "Okay, I might've been a bit of an ass. Maybe just a teaspoon. Definitely not a cup."

"Hehe~" Suddenly, a light laughter came from the side. The two turned their heads and saw Leah sitting there, chin in hand, bursting into laughter. Sensing their gaze, she lifted her head and glanced at them. "Sorry about that, I was reading a funny part in my comic. Did I disturb you?" "No worries, what comic were you reading?" Lily casually asked. "Oh, this one," Leah tilted her head, her beautiful eyes narrowed, her eyebrows curved. "It's a dark fairy tale about a fox disguised as a human, always pretending to be weak and deceiving others, and then..."
