I called gently, urging him to share what he thought about what I had just read. All of a sudden , Declan burst into a deep, throaty laugh. I stared at him, confused, wondering what could possibly be amusing about what I had just read or if he hadn’t even heard me properly. “What’s so funny?” I asked. Then Declan finally reined in his laughter and composed himself. “The story is ridiculous!” he said. I exhaled in relief; he’d heard what I read, grasped it, and Thankfully just like the usual character of declan, he did not take to heart. “Yeah, right,” I agreed.

I wandered through the aisles, running my fingers along the spines, feeling a sense of belonging I hadn't felt in a long time. I spent the whole day there, completely lost among the books, reading story after story until I lost track of time. One book caught my attention "The Adventures of Sir Flufftail" a ridiculous but absolutely hilarious story about a brave and very dramatic rabbit knight who went on quests to save stolen carrot cakes from mischievous squirrels.

Reading romantic comedy novels was always a mood booster for Emily. Besides enjoying the fantasy, Emily also gleaned moral lessons from them. For her, reading was not just about entertainment but also about capturing the positive side, which was the main goal of every writer.
