I watched her, amused, as she snuck up on the unsuspecting triplets, stalking them. “Why the look?” Reese asked me. I tried to control the smirk on my face. “No reason,” I said, walking to the table and putting the ice cream down. The cat leaped onto the table, sending plates flying. The triplets all jumped backwards, and I dissolved into laughter. “That’s a cat,” Caleb said, dumbfounded. “A big cat,” I corrected, then burst into laughter again. The cat took the triplets’ shocked looks as an invitation to rub herself up against them and to purr. I looked at Ethan and his look of disgust and the laughter bubbled up uncontrollably.

"Enough. He's the captain. Just let it go and head home—I'll see you after I check in." He patted her arm, but Mandy wasn't about to let go. "Why don't you come over? I made cream soup to thank you for saving Momo." Momo, her fluffy Ragdoll cat. Wade hesitated, then nodded and tried calling me. But my phone was dead. Completely out. Annoyance flickered across his face. "Fine, playing games again. If you're not going to answer, then don't ever pick up," he muttered.

Yesterday afternoon, I'd been walking Stinko downstairs when I ran into a few stray cats, so I went back home to grab some cat food to feed them. That was when this old woman suddenly approached, narrowing her eyes at me and the cats. "Are these all your cats?" I didn't think much of it and casually answered, "Yeah, they're mine."

“Mr. what!?” At that moment, the chipmunk went close to the bunny and said, “ME-OW.” The two started laughing afterwards at the cat joke. The pussycat turned and gave the two a menacing smile that did not go unnoticed from the two. The bunny and the chipmunk gasped in horror as they saw the look on the cat’s face. “It was him.” The bunny immediately pointed at the chipmunk. “It was all him. I have nothing to do with that joke.”

Duke huffed in my head. “It’s entertaining. I never knew they could move like that.” I said. “Cats are weird. Their whole spine can twist in all kinds of funny ways.” “Do you see it always lands on it’s feet?” “I see everything you are. Idiot.” “Don’t start.” “What a weird creature.” “Yes it is.” “Leila loves it.” “So does Chastity.” “Fine. I guess we can keep it.” “And you won’t try to eat it?”

He might be a two-foot-tall animal, but he is more dangerous than a lion. "It seemed to me like your pet could talk," he said, and let out a small chuckle, which annoyed me. He shifted back from me, then squatted down beside Reed, who was now sitting on the dirt, and patted his head while the idiot cat whined back in return. "I have heard tales of talking animals, but I never thought I could meet one anytime soon." Caleb smiles again, and that only irritates me.

My meatballs were the frozen variety, unlike her homemade ones, but it worked. "Don Gato has a belly ache and doesn't feel good tonight." Bitsy's eyes beseeched me to do something. I knew the old Tomcat had nine lives and had probably used up eight of them, but he'd been with us since we moved into our dilapidated tin box. "He'll be fine, Bitsy. I'm sure he ate a sour mouse or something." Her eyes lit up. "Are mice sour?" Jon laughed and ruffled her hair. "You tell us. I think Jaycee put one in our dinner."

They were laughing about something and on listening in on their conversation, I found out that they were talking about me. "Nice, nice. What is so interesting about me that is making you guys crack like this." I asked. They all looked among themselves asking each other who would give me an answer to my question. Looking at each and every single one of them present I asked again "What was so interesting that you guys were laughing about. What's wrong with you guys, cats got your tongue. Speak now or forever hold your peace" I said feigning anger.

That way, it would be easier when it was time to give her up. The small feline glared back at me and climbed onto my lap more determinedly, giving a loud, demanding meow. I bared my teeth at the angry-looking cat. “I’m not gonna pet you. For all I know, you could be a fellow criminal like your owner. Hell, you could be the mastermind.” When a low snicker reached my ears, I looked up to find Mom trying to hold in a laugh. “What?” I demanded. “It could be true.”

The adults in the room looked at him confusedly. “He’s like a devil to his enemies. See, he likes to play in the forest and comes back with a chunk of fire slime flesh, or the leg of a bird, or a dead fish. He makes my friend very surprised that she thought her heart stopped. If you know cat’s habits, this is a sign of love from them. They give you these dead animals, or chunks of it, that they had proudly hunted, for you. Cats cannot make gifts like humans do, those are their ‘gifts’. It’s not to make fun of us, that’s just the only thing they could think of to gift us. Because that’s their custom, animal custom.” Jai explained.
