Li Shi Zhen gasps, "Take a look at that. Beautiful view!" The sound of the river calms the soul; I inhale the fresh air and exhale my worries. "Liar!" screams a middle aged man, who is wearing a bamboo hat. "These cats are mine. I had been feeding em' since they were born and was suppose to sell em' to a buyer. How dare you try to tell me they are yours?" The grandson of the old lady cries, "But they are mine.. yesterday, I left the kittens near our barn and they went missing soon after. They look exactly like my cats; they are all female."

“Did you hurt yourself?” I paused by the passenger door of my car and studied her. “Don’t you want to tell me?” she persisted when i hesitated. “You might want me locked up when I tell you,” I mused. “Be daring.” I laughed. “I told the cats we were getting married and expecting an addition to the family. They looked at each other, and at me. One got on either side of me and they bit both ankles at once and flounced off in a huff.”

“Um Cass…why do you smell of cigarette?” She laughed nervously, “Really? Well, you smell of paint and I’m not complaining.” “But paint smells good.” “Nops.” She pouted, “Better than cigarettes though.” “Touché.” “What do we do about the cat?” She tsked, directing her eyes towards the white beast, “At least it won’t kill birds up there and bring their corpse to me.”

The cat sat on Freddy's grandmother's lap as it let out its vibrations. "What's the power, grandma?" Asked Freddy who couldn't wait to hear the story about the cat from his grandmother's mouth. "Grandma isn't sure what power she has. But grandma once saw her turn into a tiger while hearing the sound of a tiger in the forest two weeks ago." Freddy's grandmother explained the situation that happened to her first. "Oh .. So why didn't grandma just defend her?" Freddy started to ask, Kei looked at Freddy puzzled. 'Eh? He wasn't the one who said his grandmother was old. ' Kei whispered to himself. Freddy who looked at Kei who was staring at him was puzzled.

After putting away more chicken curry, Guy said, ‘Anoushka had two kittens a year or two back. Kit and Kat.* ‘And the poor little things both got run over within six months,* Anoushka said. Claudia felt a pang of empathy. ‘How awful.* ‘They had no road sense whatsoever,* said Guy. ‘Engaging little beasts, but brainless as they come.* ‘Mrs Pierce didn’t think they were engaging,* Anoushka said sulkily. ‘If you ask me, she got that horrible son of hers to come and run them over on purpose.*
