LABYRINTH

LABYRINTH

Our eyes met as the door shut behind me. The maze of people that blocked my way earlier to reach room 3254 now were not such a hassle for me to surpass. This time around I just let them swallow me whole. As I reach the doors I can see Leah Meyers, the woman at the front desk, looking at me with the same hazed expression as earlier. I locked eyes with her for just a brief second, before I burst through the glass sliding doors as it opened. The weather is quite hot today, unusually hot. A strange ringing sound started to sound in my ears. How strange?

The Runaway Groom

The Runaway Groom

They needed a way to escape! Bzzt! Zachary's phone started to vibrate in his pocket, and he answered it when he saw that it was Stan's number. However, it was James who spoke from the other end. "Where are you right now?" "At this restaurant called Aalla! We're inside without a way out!" Zachary replied. "Stan is with me. I'll try to draw them away while Stan comes to you. You need to get out of Dunesia—this gang basically controls this area."

Love this book, but now disappointed as there is no ending and updates. Sometimes authors like to drag things out and then they lose the storyline and they can’t even think anymore and they abandon these books leaving us hanging..

Alpha of Knight

Alpha of Knight

What is wrong with this academy? "Uh, okay. Did something happen out there? I mean, is the staff somehow related to it?" I look at her thoughtfully, "I'm not sure about that." She gasps. "Salty sugars! Can the Academy be doing it? I mean setting up the maze for us to die out there?" Though Tessa is speaking all of this from a different perspective,I can't agree more with her. According to her point, the academy created this maze in such conditions to get us killed by the fog and the soldiers. In her dictionary the Nightcrawlers are not included since she didn't see one in front of her eyes. But it kind of makes sense that in a maze like that and a fog as musty and cloudy can hide a good amou

The Forbidden Princess and her Mafia Men

The Forbidden Princess and her Mafia Men

Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be as the screams get louder before another long whistle blows making me think they got hurt, or worse. Just then another horn sounds off. This one lower and almost baritone, like a foghorn. Then the sound of rocks shifting could be heard, like an earthquake as the walls begin to move on their own. Some lifting while others shifting into weird angles. Kinda like the hunger games, and the weird terrane that tries to kill you as I'm forced into a different passage before it could crush me. What in the world? Moving walls? Are we suddenly in Panem? "For crying out loud” I yell more to myself than to anyone else, realizing this game wouldn’t be considered fair. As this

Lastly, Dilla would use one of his runes - the only one Connie did not take because it had been on his person - to get them directly inside the glasshouse. Once inside, they would split into three groups. Galieel and Amelia would stumble inside, feigning injuries from vampires. This would allow the other two groups to slip inside undetected. Verag and Keratin would go in search of Germaine, while Storm, Zar, and Dilla, would go in search of the Orks.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The message read: DO NOT LET THE CRYSTAL TOUCH THE WATER. Silence. Then another line. THE MONSTER WILL FEEL IT. Thomas immediately gripped the crystal tighter. Then Henry pushed the boat. The vessel slid forward. Into a hidden tunnel beneath the lighthouse. Into darkness. Then the tunnel opened. And suddenly— they were on the ocean. The real ocean. The raging ocean. The storm immediately attacked them. Waves. Rain. Wind. Everything. Yet somehow— the Night Runner kept moving. Smoothly. Almost effortlessly. Like the sea welcomed it.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Toward the top, the stairway is blocked by large beams. "I climbed through earlier and found a good defensive position at the top where we can see the city," Labyrinth says. Garret is the only one who has trouble navigating the stairwell. I turn when he doesn't follow. His expression says he's about to tell us to leave him again. I nod at Axel, and he assists him through the short maze. Garret has impressed me. He's kept up without complaint, attacked the hellhounds with us, and when he knew he couldn't go on, he encouraged me to leave him behind. I'm still reserving my final judgement, and that will most likely depend on if he makes it out alive or not.

Billionaire Regrets: Loving a Substitute Ex-Wife

Billionaire Regrets: Loving a Substitute Ex-Wife

Morgan and Alice held their breath, watching the monitor as if their lives depended on the game on screen. The Labyrinth Suddenly, the alarm blared. Marcel had successfully breached a side door, using an unexpected route. Alice gasped, her eyes wide. ‘He… he’s inside!’ Morgan exclaimed. Morgan remained calm, but his gaze was sharp on the screen. ‘I predicted this. Team, activate the barriers and isolate the area. We’ll shepherd him into the trap we’ve prepared.’ In seconds, the building’s corridors transformed into a digital and physical maze: automatic doors slammed shut, spotlights glared, and all emergency exits were monitored. Marcel smirked, realising someone was waiting for him, but he

The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

"If I step left, you step left. If I stop, you freeze. If you touch a glowing rock, you lose the hand." I led them into the maze. It was a surreal procession. Neoma the Rat leading the Unit Vanguard through the intestines of the world. We navigated piles of garbage that shifted and groaned under our weight. I guided them past pools of liquid that looked like water but smelled of acid and melted rubber. "Don't step there," I warned Barzil, grabbing his arm. He looked down. A patch of ground rippled. Not mud. Quicksand made of industrial sludge.
