Suddenly, Adrian realized that these individuals indeed harbored ulterior motives. Adrian expanded his awareness, and the sight before him left him speechless. The entire hall was now teeming with an array of ghosts and monsters. Among them were towering old men with only one eye, lanterns swaying on a single leg, malformed boys with just one limb each, women clad in white exuding a bone-chilling aura, and skeletal figures draped in human skin...

“Who we are does not matter, what matters is that the Wolves will die tonight!” Zephyr huffed, produced out his sword, and quickly sprinted towards him. “Ha! Do you not know where you are? I am Ghost! You will not be spared tonight!” he replied. Seeing Zephyr rush over, Ghost steadied himself. “Wolf’s Howl!” Ghost howled, with that the attack started. Even though he looked barbaric and unruly, he was very careful. Seeing how many of his men had been slaughtered, even if he did not know who Zephyr was, he knew he was formidable.

Leori called upon his courage, rallying his comrades to stand strong against the spectral onslaught. Swinging his sword with unwavering resolve, Leori cleaved through the ghostly apparitions. Jason looked genuinely puzzled. Avoiding his gaze, Liora explained, "We don't do that. We call male ghosts 'dark souls' and female ones 'phantom queens'. And guess what? You've got yourself a phantom queen right beside you. Looks about 20, long hair, and, oh, bleeding from the wrists." Jason's face went through a sudden transformation. "Seriously, Liora? Are we playing games now?" Liora rolled her eyes, sizing up Jason like he was the slowest kid in class. "Fine, let me break it down. Why do you go visit your dead relatives' graves?"

"Wait. I need to know. Why did, uhm, whatever, carelessly pick me?" "Go back." The woman wasn't paying her any attention. She kept on plucking cowries and attaching them to her head. "What is he? Oh, don't answer that one. He's a ghost. I know that. Why is he in that state? No, no, why can I see him? Why can l feel his touch, ghosts can't do that, can they? What does he need me for?" The old woman stopped her scaly hands from further movements and stared directly at Geneva through her foggy eyes that obviously saw clearly.

He stood up and walked to where he used to out his books, he took a small but old looking book and came back to where he was sitting, next to me. "I read it in this book , there is a certain theory which say that people might have ghost clones, these clones looks and dresses exactly like the original you and they can do anything you can do. Sometimes if you are lucky you can have a good clone but if you are unlucky you are likely to have a bad and evil clone , which means you are unlucky because yours is evil" he explained. His explanation shocked me , i have never heard such things and I've never believed in ghost theories.

The beggar continued, "The way I see it, those ghosts are basically people with superpowers. They are driven by their own desires to hurt the living, while some have trouble controlling their powers after suddenly awakening to it." Her unexpected explanation actually enlightened Frank. Ghosts and hauntings notwithstanding, they were just people who could do what normal people could not—but they were fundamentally no different! Without hesitation, Frank rushed forward when a tall, well-rounded bald man appeared before he reached the graves.

I rushed as I observed both Kyle and Alex hyping themselves up to cause trouble. I took a deep breath and continued. "A ghost is basically an assassin who is above the law, because they neither exist nor is considered nonexistent. They work by contract or freelance. This person has the ability to kill with no remorse and get away with it, because technically he does not exist in the eyes of the law. He has no identity, yet he has multiple identities. No one has ever successfully gotten close enough to a ghost to uncover their true identity and if there is a ghost amongst us then we are all in deep trouble. I do not know for sure if he was hired by Richard or the other people who wish to kill

And it seemed like they succeeded in establishing contact with her. The black clouds soon shrouded the sky leaving almost no star for stargazing. It was midnight now. Not to mention spirits get active at night only. This is what most people believed. According to them, ghosts get active at night. However, the question was ~ Why? The reason is because of the change in the senses of the people. During the daytime, people remain preoccupied with their work, distractions, conversations, routines that they don't even notice subtle happenings.

Skylar shivered, thinking back to how the voices echoed forcefully in her head. "Those are lost souls" She answered but continued when Skylar raised an eyebrow. "Ghost has no purpose but to haunt while lost souls are struck between the dead and the living, their bodies are either dead or alive while their spirit goes around, searching for their bodies, they feel tormented till they do so" She explained, looking around. "So, I still do not wish to encounter anything dead, I suggest we start moving if we do not want to be among them" "We are to walk to the deepest part of the forest, call for her and she will come to us" Skylar nodded and started moving, with Shailyn holding onto her arm like
