Three rogue wolves rushed towards Alpha Clause and I, and I recognized one as the one Alpha Clause described as Alpha Ross, the Alpha that went rogue. He was a black wolf with a white scar the shape of lightning under his left eyelid. He together with a brown wolf attacked Alpha Clause, leaving me unprotected for the smaller wolf that was ash in color to attack me. They might have thought that I was weak and that was why they had only one small wolf attack me, but I was strong and I would show them. I threw a kick at the wolf's jaw and he reared back, letting out a loud growl both in pain and anger.

Ghost cracked a small smile. It was a rare sight and it made Ryder happy. He didn’t want to push it, so he didn’t point it out, “Rogue wolves are extreme. Then, two wolves burst from the shadows and suddenly started attacking the rogues. One was a huge black wolf, twice the size of all the other wolves, and the other was a brown wolf. The huge black wolf’s eyes gleamed red, symbolizing that he was an Alpha, but that wasn't what made the rogues fear him—the mark on the wolf's face made them recognize him as Alpha Kayden and without waiting, they all took to their heels.

He let out a low, vibrating growl that made the hair on my back stand up. From the darkness, three massive, mangy wolves stepped out. They weren't from our pack. They were rogues—but they didn't look like normal rogues. Their eyes were glowing a sickly, demonic red, and a foul, rotted smell came off them. They were huge, easily twice the size of a standard wolf. Simply described, they looked like monsters.

Only one wolf had fur as black as the night itself and orbs red as burning coal, Vulcan, Azriel's wolf. What was he doing here? How did he.... Her thoughts were interrupted when another vicious growl echoed in the air followed by the rogue's attack on Vulcan. Vulcan snarled in response and dodged the rogue by jumping to the side. The rogue let out another dark growl but before he could turn around, Vulcan tackled him to the ground. He gave him no time to recover and aimed at his neck. His sharp canine pierced into his throat and tore it off in the twinkling of an eye. Blood flew out like rain.
