A Gift from the Goddess

A Gift from the Goddess

But Allison just approached slowly, her eyes fixated on the picture as if it had a hold over her. “This is of the Silver Saintess, Ariadne,” she said quietly. “…The false prophet who walked amongst us one hundred years ago. She was a creature who declared themselves an embodiment of the Goddess, and yet saw to bend the world to her will. A world in the image of her insanity.” Her eyes then finally snapped back to my own, showing me the hatred burning within them. “She was an evil that has never been forgotten… A Devil of the Mist.”

I just finished reading this story, and I have to say: I am speechless. This is the first story on this app that has completely captivated me. Finally, there are fresh, new plot elements—instead of the usual clichés you read on this app time and time again.

WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HILL

WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HILL

Ancanta appeared to be drawn to the elderly woman's compassionate stare, so she smiled, still with the same sunny grin, and politely replied: "Uncle Hector never told me anything about goblins, they what? Isn't it like the devil to perform the terrifying things Uncle Hector used to warn me about?" "Of course not." The elderly lady smiled as she handed Ancanta a hot cake that had just come out of the oven "Goblins are the ones who are punished; they made a tremendous error and were punished by the gods above. As punishment, goblins exist on their journey to serve the gods, guide lost souls, and guard children from perils."

A Goddess Gifted by Fate

A Goddess Gifted by Fate

Gunner stood and waited by his chair. “Goddess” Elaine nodded and stepped further into the room to allow the women behind her to follow. “My Goddess” the blonde woman bowed low, “I am Phoebe. I offer you my loyalty, from now until my last moon”. “Thank you, Phoebe, and thank you for coming. Please take a seat” I said, motioning to the empty chairs at the table. “My Goddess. It is an honour to meet you, I too offer my loyalty” the next woman spoke. She was tall, slim, and quite striking to look at. Her deep black hair and dark caramel skin made her look very exotic, though I couldn’t place where she might be from.

The Goddess Warrior

The Goddess Warrior

Durga was silent below the surface, but Jaiyana felt her presence. “Jaiyana, the goddess reborn,” sneered an older vampire from across the table. “It was a pretty light show you made a few minutes ago.” Jaiyana felt the hair on her arms rise at his tone, the weight of every gaze pressing in on her. She turned slowly to meet his stare, her jewel pulsing faintly at her throat.

Demon King: The Werewolf And The Lily

Demon King: The Werewolf And The Lily

“This is not good,” Slabhrai, the goddess of chains, said as she noticed a change in the lower planes, “I can feel a shift in power.” “What do you mean?” Chogaidh, the god of war replied, “Is something happening in the mortal plane again?” The other gods gathered, wondering what it could be this time. The last time that Slabhrai, who governs the chains that connect the different planes of the world, felt this shift in power was when the first Demon King was born. Back then they merely swept it off as a normal event among them mortals; after all, they did not expect that the god of games would intervene.

The Exiled Dragon

The Exiled Dragon

My dragon was at peace with this woman, but Creed and his father were certainly skeptical. “No, my charming griffon, I am Hecate, Goddess of Magic and Spells.” The few brief moments she let us have to contemplate the massive shock of information sink into our minds, I thought back to the witch’s comments at the ceremony. ‘To listen to the words of Hecate.’ This woman was the actual goddess. She looked like one the very moment we saw her, but now it had become so more real. A soft glow of gold wrapped around her body tightly, her fair skin that had never seen a bit of sun, no wrinkles not even a beauty mark. Her face looked painted by Michelangelo himself.

Honestly, this is the best book I have read on this app. Such mature and thorough writing. Interesting storyline and characters you fall in love with. It's incredibly unique. I will be reading every single book this writer puts out.

Forgive Me Goddess For I Have Sinned

Forgive Me Goddess For I Have Sinned

“Please monster, leave me alone! Be gone from this holy place!” “Soon you will see that I am not a monster.” The woman continued unphased by Amelia’s insult. “Just set me free and you will see that I am you.” "Free…" Amelia murmured, getting lost in the woman’s words. "Wait… no!" Stumbling backwards, Amelia broke the woman’s connection with her before turning and running. She needed to get to the chapel, and soon, demons couldn’t exist in the domain of the Goddess, so this lying and deceitful creature couldn’t reach her there either.

A Queen Among Snakes

I say with disappointment. “It’s not natural!” Qianfan exclaims. “Yildiz?” “Yes, Empress?” She chirps. “How many Gods are there?” “Currently? Six,” she answers happily. “And how many are Goddesses?” She smirks, “That would be three, though it used to be five.” “Please remind me, which God created the mutolupus race?” I gently request. “That would be the Goddess Morrtemis, the Warrior Goddess,” she says with a proud smile.

I absolutely loved this book. It was such a welcome change to have a timid and sweet main character. The writing is so great, and had me in tears multiple times. my heart broke and soared along with the story. I would highly recommend this book!

Mother, May I

Mother, May I

Pretty sure he’d love to tear me apart—starting with my mouth. Then, a soft, lilting voice from the far side of the room: “I can help.” Heads turn. Mine whips to the sound. A slight woman stands—long dark hair, forest-sprite eyes, and a voice full of old Celtic magic. “I am Ceridwen. Goddess of rebirth.” Hecate’s voice is wary. “How can you help?” “I can create a babe. Place Kassandra’s soul inside it. A goddess of birth can speed the body’s growth. A goddess of children can age her to adulthood. We’d have her back in days.”

In the coming war, they were lucky to have Corey on thier side. She remembered the day he was born. Red eyes and black writings along his arms and legs. The devil's spawn that's what he was. However, by some miracle the sun goddess was able to neutralize some if the negative power. Of course, she was the goddess of peace, growth and warmth afterall. The water was calm now, purposefully moving the ship at an average speed. It was almost impossible to travel to another realm by sea because of the bitterness of the waters but thankfully, Corey was with them.
