Smoke seeped from his body again, and a dark aura rose from his body like a shadow looming over her. She hears voices in the shadows and howling. Her eyes dart back and forth, looking for the voices, as tears brim her eyes. Her body trembles, her arms wrap around her, and she backs away from him. She feels a brush of something against her shoulder, and she gasps as she turns and runs. Azalea had never felt such fear and such darkness. It was overwhelming. Tears flowed down her face, her body trembled, and she could hardly breathe as she ran into her father's arms.
