Declan’s POV Sleep didn’t come easy that night, the image of that little girl, Lunara, kept burning through my mind long after the lights at the Henss mansion went out. Her eyes. Spirits of the Moon, those eyes. They didn’t just shine, they sparked. Literally. I saw it with my own eyes, the moment her mother’s hand trembled and a sliver of light flew from her pupils straight into the chandelier, shattering it to the marble floor. I bring it up to my eye level and the scent that has been hanging me now goes straight to my head, making my head swim some more. The red mark is glowing now, getting darker and bigger. A half-moon and another half moon. They are twisted around in a way that makes it hard for me to confirm if it’s actually a moon. The sight of a small star in the middle is what confirms what I’m seeing to me.

“Is it some type of hair decoration? It’s nice I…” Primus starts shaking next to me with laughter. Howling he takes a moment to catch his breath. “They are spectacles, they are for your eyes.” “My eyes?” “Here,” he gently removes them from my awkward grip and places them on my face, carefully looping the wire behind my ears. I heard her slowly, the room falling, my eyes failed to provide me everything like a thin black thread on its head it weaved shut. *** "There's a blood moon tonight," she said as I woke up to see her searing next to me. "We'll find out of you're the one." "There's nothing special about it, it's just like a normal full moon," I said rolling my eyes.

Corvin’s POV Corvin stood at the altar. All the lights were off in the hall, but the glass ceiling let the full moon in perfectly. The room was brighter than it would have been with the lights on. The moonlight gave off a blue light that made everything in the room glow, and the stars littered the sky with sparkling dots. They seemed endless. If it were not for gravity, it seemed one could fall into the stars forever. This day really could have been better. He shouldn’t have had to go all the way over there to pick up the pup, especially today of all days. Her mother should have prepared her.

November stood before him; she took his hand and put something around his wrist. Leonidas saw a full moon pendant dangling on it. Blush occupied her cheeks as she looks up to him, “In the old times, it is said that the Moon God protects those who his children cares for. So the children gave those they care for a bracelet with a moon pendant.
