01~ Mia Harper The alarms rang, and I just wanted to stay in bed. Another stressful day... how did last night pass so quickly? I thought to myself as I got up from bed. My name is Mia Harper, the first child of my late parents, Henry and Kate Harper. After the tragic passing of my parents, I was left to cater for Jeremiah, my not-so-little younger brother. Jere, who is now in his third year of college, has a knack for getting on my nerves; I can hardly think of a day he hasn’t used his height as a getaway to mock me. Well, it’s not my fault that I’m short.

Jasper narrows his eyes at me, but decides not to bring up my thoughts. Instead, he says, "I will not stop until this deal is complete." "Do you know anything about Cyprian? Where he may be?" I ask, hating to bring up the name of the man behind the uprising. Cyprian. Young, strong and extremely manipulative. An outsider of the Love Pack born and raised. A rogue now. All these things are a dangerous concoction I don't want my beautiful mate witnessing. Unfortunately, my end of the deal must be upheld.

– Brayden said “No one asked you, Brayden.” – Harper snapped and Brayden only blew her a kiss and a wink. She frowned, thinking, “he really needs some serious help, doesn’t he?” After some more talking, Harper was convinced to introduce herself to the small group. She didn’t see the point of doing so anyway. She has been a member of the two packs. “I’m Harper Redmayne. The queen of the white wolves’ pack. I’d like to say you’re all welcome in this camp, but that would be a lie.”

Madison gave a slight nod, picked up the tray of food the maid had prepared, and left the kitchen. Just as I was about to pour myself a cup of coffee, my phone buzzed. Zaza’s name lit up the screen. “Your Majesty,” he said as soon as I answered. “Harper is currently heading to an unknown location. So I'm guessing she's there to meet someone.” I froze, the weight of his words sinking in. “Where?” “Near the outskirts of the forest. I’ve sent the coordinates to your phone.” “I’ll handle it,” I said, ending the call.

Why would Zephan be talking with Harl? Or was my active imagination taking a toll on me?

"I'm going to let everyone know what Harper really is." He logged into the Werewolf Dark Web and started typing. I watched the screen, and my heart sank. WANTED TARGET: Harper (formerly of Silverclaw) CRIMES: Treason, Mass Poisoning, Threat to All Wolfkind REWARD: Ten Million Dollars Liam's fingers flew across the keyboard as a string of vicious lies appeared on the screen: "Harper has been confirmed as a deep-cover operative for a fanatical anti-werewolf organization. She planted a slow-acting poison in the 'Serenity' potion in an attempt to assassinate elite werewolf warriors."

Harper grinned and dashed off, promising to return shortly with our orders. "Harper has an angelic quality, but she doesn't talk much about herself. She appears to be introverted. Told us earlier, she has been traveling around for a month, looking into colleges. Oddly enough, though. She left the cool building and waited in her car. Instead of getting something to eat and waiting inside for twenty minutes until her shift began. It's scorching hot outside. I don't understand why she would do such a thing."

I raised an eyebrow, my tone dripping with sarcasm. “Incase I haven’t introduced myself well, I’m Harper Walter, first daughter to Geraldine Walter,” “And you know my privilege as a first child?! My mother doesn’t do a thing without putting me in on it!” I whispered shaking my head slightly, I’m actually enjoying this, so this was how it felt to blackmail someone, my second life is definitely going to be filled with doing things I never thought I’d do before. I watched Jason's eyes widened with fear, he tried to hide his fear but he wasn’t doing a very good job.

I add. She smiles up at me, “I love you too Troy and I don’t want to leave you either but duty calls.” I sigh, “Can we at least stop fighting and go back to bed.” She laughs, “Troy that wasn’t a fight, I was just giving you space to think and I also did a little digging about Zane’s uh problem.” She takes my hand and leads me to a seat. I frown wondering what exactly she means by digging. “Harper and I went to the library yesterday and found a book on Vladimir, it tells the story of how he became a Vampire annnnd about his four loyal soldiers.” She looks at me to make sure I’m following.

"Huh, should it seem as if they were killed by a serial killers? No too dark." Even though it wasn't her first kill, it felt different. The sensation that rushed through her spine when his blood splattered on her left cheek was exhilarating. The unrelated lives she took in her previous line of work never made her feel anything, no remorse, no closure, nothing. But she was now different, sort of reborn, driven by a vengeful thirst for blood. She was now Qiao Mo, the secretary to the President of of the Wushi Cooperation, and she was running late for work.
