She said. A book almost instantly appeared in front of her. While she took it into her hands, she read out the title of the book. "Fatal attraction..." The book was about a magical world of animals. If animals gained enough magical power, they would gain the ability to take on a human form. However, their human form would still retain traces of their real form. The story focused on the world of wolves. There was little mention about humans. They only appeared when animals raided and attacked villages for food and fun.

Kneeling down, she picked it up and read the title. “THE BOOK OF FORBIDDEN SPELLS.” There was no name of the creator anywhere on the book. Emmeline was not sure who had put the book in there but it was completely locked. The book was locked by a physical lock and a magical spell. She could tell because there was magic heat coming out from it.

All manner of weird items such as wands, amulets, funny little dolls, jars of unidentifiable items and even skulls of very weird animals which Tara couldn't tell if they were real or not. The whole place was freaking her out and rain or not she decided to leave. But as she passed the last shelf before the door a book caught her eye. It big gold letters on the plain black leather cover was the title 'Sex Rituals in Black Magick'. She giggled quietly maybe it was just a strange porn shop after all. Still her curiosity had been awakened so she picked the book up.

"It's blank." Everest took the book, his expression puzzled. "Really? That's strange." I reached out, gently taking the book from Everest's hands. As I opened it, the pages sprang to life, filled with an intricate tapestry of spells, potions, and ancient magical knowledge. "What the..." Brent's eyes widened in surprise. "It's not blank," I murmured, awe coloring my tone. "It's full of information." Miranda leaned in, her fingers tracing the elegant script. "This is incredible. Old world magic, the likes of which I've never seen."

Countless books lined the shelves. Leaning forward, I picked up an old, rusty spellbook. After brushing off the dust and cobwebs, I opened it to find potions, magics, and spells of all kinds. “But how do I know which is the right one?” I wondered aloud. A brief silence followed. Then, a noise came from the back. My heart skipped. Moving closer to investigate, I spotted a small, aged book on the floor. Picking it up, I skimmed the first few pages. The book focused mainly on werewolves. Opening it further, my eyes widened—there, written boldly on the middle page, were potions, spells, and a cure for werewolf illness.

The hug was short and brief but it gave Akira the strength she needed to push just a little bit further. They walked around till Orion paused at the fantasy section of the library, the children's section to be precise. “Eureka!” He exclaimed. Akira chuckled at his childlike expression, “what are we doing here?” “Does this look familiar?” He asked. She looked closely at the book and smiled, “Harry Potter?” She asked in surprise. “Yes my darling, I believe that there's a creature in this book that might have a hand in Mirabel's petrification.” Akira scoffed, “I doubt the basilisk would want to have anything to do with her.”

Most of the other books in the library were ancient, brown and huge, but these looked magical. The first one she grabbed was blue, with the pages sparkly and thick. As she opened it, she saw that it was a book for water lilies. She didn’t even know those things existed. It fascinated her that there were actually small water creatures that lived in lakes and had powers. She wanted to sit and read the entire thing, but she knew she couldn’t. The other book she grabbed was about dragons. It had everything from the bloodline that formed them, to the very thing that could destroy them all.

It was the second time I burned myself with my cup of tea. I had recently bought it when I discovered an internet store about literary articles, and I instantly fell in love with the Harry Potter-themed cup that only required the coat of arms belonging to the book when it was filled to the top by a smoking liquid. Most of the time, I just filled it with water just to have the pleasure of seeing the dark color giving way to the brightness that contained the drawing of the most famous magnificent witchcraft school in the literary world.

So there must be more than one layer then… Ugh… it hurts my brain just trying to dissect it all. Nevertheless, the main primary target still remains ensuring that Harper passes the maid selection competition. That much I know of. Just then, Harper notices my silence, and stares at me with a questioning gaze. But I confidently smirk instead. Tossing her the booklet of magic spells that I had obtained from the old wizard. I watch her expression shift into excitement. She shimmies closer to the book with an adorable amount of joy. Clearly happy about what I’ve given her.
