I smiled, a small but genuine smile.
"I don't believe much, but I have a cream for every part of my body," I joked, holding up the bottle. "Gifts from your brother." I shrugged as Phoebe sat on the edge of the bed, facing me. She kept watching me, her eyes attentive and curious. "I like them because they help me think."
"I understand," she said softly, tilting her head to the side. "Has your headache stopped?"
I nodded at her, though the truth was my head had started throbbing even more after all the day's events.
