She perched on the corner of the table and continued with her work. “I need to find any background information on Athena Wrenth,” Astrid said, trying to open every file she had previously handled. “Do you know anything about her family history?”

We chatted easily, almost as though Astrid wasn’t in a cage dressed like a ballerina and there wasn’t a war back at home with our packs. But then a voice interrupted us.
