Novel & Cerita Hellhounds Mythology

"The Goddess will bring war upon us on her eighteenth birthday. She will bring war between the wolves and vampires. Shauna was only trying to stop that from happening. She was looking out for all of us." The Pack was silent, watching me, taking in my words that weighed so heavy. "Mila." Shauna hissed. "No, I can't let you go down for this. They have to know." "You know of this?" Mitch asked his eyes on Lobo. "No. I only just found out about this. We do not know if it is true. Shauna has claimed this. There is no proof in her words." "But we are having the prophecy translated, so we will know soon," I explained. I could see the surprise in the eyes of the Pack.

“They walk in shadow, cloaked not in fur but in malice woven. Their eyes are voids, deeper than tombs, and their breath withers hope. They need no pack, yet oft they come as one—five, ten, more—like the black wind before the storm.” “Beware, oh kin of claw and fang. When the woods fall still and the birds forget their songs; when the moon hides her face and the beasts of field flee in silence—then they are near. Bolt thy den and speak not their name, for to name them aloud is to draw their gaze.” “Let this be writ in claw and ash: the houndras cometh not for meat nor mirth, but for the ending of all things forgotten.” “That's it?” Rune asked, frustrated as he flipped through the pages hoping

“He was an Ifrit of the old world, towering, his skin the color of cooled lava, bronzed armour and eyes like two dying suns with spiral horns on his head” His voice shook now “He had a horde of ghouls at his heels, a carpet of gray flesh and hunger. I was alone. My men were dead or pushed back. It was just me, the ghost of my wife, and a demon that had been promised the soul of the City.”

“These hellblades slay demons, forcing my true form out. Behren used them to banish us during Constantinople’s fall. My real body is not of this world, and humans cannot perceive it. Since you are used to me as a cat, I became this larger version. I am much more…mighty in person” His eyes slid over his massive furred body with clear disdain. “The last person to wield this was Behren, the soul render. He split many of us apart, absorbing our essence into the hellblade and sending our weakened forms back. It was a chaotic time, when black magic was used desperately to win the war over Constantinopel. A foolish mistake, since we are not meant to walk here. Once we are set loose, the destruction

The runes pulsed like a heartbeat. The shadow paused just beyond the circle. It had no clear form, but hints of a muzzle and claws flickered in and out of existence, as if it couldn’t quite decide what it was. When it opened its mouth, no sound came out — only a ripple of cold that raised gooseflesh on everyone’s skin. Jude whispered, “What the hell…” Lyra’s eyes hardened. “It’s a Hound of Ash,” she said. “He makes them from the wolves who fight him.”

'I bet there are thousands of mythological books' I thought, I looked around as much as I could while Hades carried me. ''You love books, don't you?'' He commented as he weaved his way through shelf after shelf of books, following Lachesis. ''No, just mythological books,'' I replied ''The underworld is the source of all mythological books and stories.'' Hades huffed. ''Are you not serious?'' I asked in disbelief. ''Do you know the myth of Cerberus?'' He asked. ''Of course. He's the Greek hellhound. It's one of the most famous myths'' I replied.

Especially that creature, the like of which she had never seen before, terrifying, pale, cold and sticky, disgusting, found herself trapped in a dark cave, in a place surrounded by water from every direction with the remaining friends who were celebrating with her her doomed wedding anniversary, and who She was losing them one by one, as they would come to them every day directly to devour one of them, and his screams would rise, filling the place, echoing throughout the cave until he was unable to do so, eating his flesh alive until there was nothing left of it. She witnessed the food of all her friends, one after the other, and she hoped the Almighty every day that her turn would not come,

Beyond that, the trees are absolutely ancient, towering dozens of feet above my head. This place–this circle–is new. Something used to rest here–a building. A temple, perhaps. Excitement blurs my senses as I begin to search for ruins, ignoring the prickle of unease making the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. A twig snaps nearby, followed by the scurrying of something larger than a rabbit but smaller than a wolf, and I jerk back to reality. I just found a hellhound, dead. It wasn’t injured. Something killed it, but how? They don’t just die of old age. They’re immortal souls trapped in bodies mutated by magic–bodies that never belonged to them in the first place.

I tugged his arm, pulling him away from Quinn in utter amazement. He made the man submit. Up until this point I'd only ever seen two people able to do it. Ryder, who was his alpha, and myself. It only meant one thing. Mordecai was bound to be like me, if not more powerful. Dusk's temper was for a reason, he was an old wolf. Hellhounds were almost always killed off before maturity, and those that survived were never allowed to procreate. That meant the souls were all jumbled up for hundreds upon thousands of years with no host to let them live their cycle since the council stepped up.

“Well, one of the little beasts looks like it survived one of our experiments. So here it is, a soul bonded to hell; a hellhound!” This could not be entirely true. This was a legend our Mother used to tell us we were kids. Hellhounds don’t exist, do they? I felt thrown back into my childhood days. Every night we had fallen asleep with one of her stories without Father knowing. He would have said that we were too big to be told such tales. But that was what Mother said: that they were just tales, legends, and nothing more. When we first drew my blood and mixed it with one of our potions, I still didn’t believe that some creature would come out of it, but it did. So we decided to use them in o
