"How so?" I interrogated I could see his expression drop as he tried to make out words. I gave him time and he finally spoke "He is trying to bail James out"

He was flexing his muscles as if to show that he wasn't afraid of detective Walsh, and I touched him, making him know how serious the situation was. “So what are you suggesting, boss? Complete eradication? Extermination?” I nodded, running a hand through my hair. I lit the joint again, restoring the flame. I took in the smoke, then billowed some into the air. “Anyhow you need to do it, Henry. We need to clip his wings before he gets too close. He's a dangerous one, and the earlier we push him away, the better.” Henry nodded, smoking his joint with a certain coolness that I found amazing.

Then again, Daciana will be damned to have intercourse with this stinking pig. “Calm down, baby girl. I'm about to make you feel good” he coaxed as he ripped off her blouse. His eyes met with those plummy breasts of hers. His mouth watered, and his arousal began unsettling. Henry intended to pull off his pants when a frightening sound was heard. “What the fuc. k!” he cursed, turning to behold a scary figure—the door was shattered and the figure was literally pitch dark. He almost jumped in fear as those bright red eyes glared murderously at him.

He stopped smiling immediately before sitting down, placing the envelop he has brought with him on the table. Jane sat across him and glanced at the wine on the table. “Wine?” She raised her glass, and he nodded, she pushed an empty neat glass to him and poured him some wine from the wine bottle. “How is he?” Jane asked after Henry sipped some glass of wine, her expression now serious and the smiles on her face were wiped off her face like they were never there. Henry exhaled sharply and pushed the envelope to her and she glanced at it. “See for yourself.” He told her and she took the envelope, tearing it open, she took out the pictures on it and her eyes drooped.

Suddenly, a file popped up — an anonymous tip pointing to a safe house on the outskirts of the city. Her pulse quickened. Could this be the break they needed? She dialed Luca immediately. “I have something,” she said, breathless. “A location. It might be Damien.” Luca was already on his way. “We’ll check it out first thing in the morning. No risks.” But deep inside, they both knew this could either be the key to ending the nightmare or another trap set by their enemies. ⸻ The Morning Raid The first light of dawn saw them creeping through the narrow backstreets toward the safe house. Elena’s heart pounded as she checked her pistol, every sense on high alert.

I was here, in what’s considered the most dangerous city in the United States. If it weren’t for Kim, there’s no way I’d go through all this trouble, traveling so far just to fetch her damn documents. Damn her scatterbrain for always forgetting important stuff and dragging me into her personal courier service. Pulling my phone out of my bag, I dialed Kim’s number. I prayed she’d pick up quickly so that the incident that I won’t tell wouldn’t happen again like last time.

It wasn't her business what Idris was up to. "Yo, what's up?" Idris answered, trying to sound casual. "It's bad, man," his boy replied. "We got caught in the act, and the cops are on our tail. We need a way out, ASAP." Idris could feel his heart racing as he tried to come up with a plan. He looked behind him to see if Natasha or Maria were around. "Where are you now?", he asked as he stepped forward, rubbing his forehead in confusion.

Maybe he was going to meet with this blackmailer, and they didn’t want me to know about it. A tight knot formed in my stomach; I was getting a nasty feeling about this. “Erin? Are you still there?” Henry asked; I hadn’t realized I had gone silent until he spoke my name. “Sorry, what were you saying?” I asked, shaking my head of any thoughts. “If anyone can get access to his phone, it’s you,” Henry repeated. “Just be careful. I’m still thinking he’s dangerous. If his family really is in danger, there’s no telling what he would do, and who he would step on, to protect them.”

Henry shifted his gaze from Jared, redirecting it toward Jordan, who stood nearby, lost in thought. "I heard that you are good at playing?" Henry asked with a hint of mockery. Jordan swallowed his saliva, "Henry, what are you talking about?" "Everyone knows. So you don't need to pretend to be confused. How you play has nothing to do with me. I just want to kindly remind you that there are some people you can't touch. Be careful not to get burned!" Henry said with a slight tap on Jordan's back. It was the first time Jordan saw Henry being serious. His smile was no longer plastered on his face, and his words were full of threats, even if he said it was only a reminder.

“And when they realized that… you became the easiest way to hurt me.” Lena’s pulse echoed in her ears. “But who? Who is doing this?” Alexander hesitated — and that hesitation terrified her. “His name is Marcus Hale,” Alexander finally said. “He used to be on the Board. He and I built this company together. Then we turned into enemies.” “Hale…” Lena repeated slowly. “Detective Hale?” “No,” he said quickly. “Different person. Same last name. Marcus is… more dangerous.” Lena stepped closer, fear and anger tangled inside her chest. “Alex… if he’s that dangerous, why didn’t you tell the police?”
