Henry continued. “She seems very observant.” “That’s not a crime.” “No,” Henry agreed smoothly. “But it is… interesting.” Lucien rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Are you calling to interrogate my fiancée?” “Of course not.” Henry’s tone remained calm. “I’m simply telling you to pay attention.” Lucien’s jaw tightened slightly. “I always do.” “Good,” Henry said. Then his voice softened slightly. “Because sometimes the most dangerous people are the ones who appear the calmest.”

’’ Steven shouts for her. "LEAVEE!" Catty shouts at the Hudson brothers. They try running their way out until a beast appears before them blocking their way. Morgan and Mark try fighting with their swords but fail. The beast holds Henry by his collars and throws him high up. Melly and Patty notice and rush towards him. Patty slows down the wind and brings Henry down while Melly summons the lightning bolt and kills the beast. The Hudson brothers look on in disbelief. And so do Ethel and Reno. Catty runs to Henry's side.

Henry pressed his lips together firmly with the look of disbelief crossing his stern features. “You can’t be serious. You’re still choosing to defend him when the evidence is right in front of your face?” “That hardly counts as evidence. Just because it was one of his pack members,” I said, shaking my head. “Why would Gavin want to hurt someone in his own pack?” “Because he’s dangerous, Erin,” Henry said, releasing his hold on my arms. “How can you continue to defend that monster?” “He’s not a monster,” I said, my tone hardening.
