He then shot to his feet and tried to hug me, but his arms closed around nothing. I had already disappeared into the wind along with the snow. "Please don't go, Whitney! Please don't leave me!" Henry yelled with a raw, heartbreaking fervor. Yet, the only thing that answered him was the howling wind and the snowfall that was getting heavier. He collapsed into the snow, letting the snow cover him layer by layer. He lay there as if the all-encompassing snow was me, his lost love, holding him in a final embrace. It was the following morning when a passerby found Henry frozen to death on the side of the road, still holding onto a photo of me.

One of the doctors apologized to us, "We’re very sorry. He suffers from a severe mental illness. He escaped from the hospital this morning. We’ll take him back immediately." As they led him away, he kept looking at me with lingering attachment, though his gaze now held a vacant, unfocused quality. Later, with Rowan’s help, Aurelion Dynamics continued to grow stronger. He had underestimated Henry’s audacity and the lengths he was willing to go to achieve his goal, and deep down, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease about the consequences of their actions.

He motioned again for me to follow him. “Please read and walk, Ms. Walton. We have to meet the housekeepers," he explained. For an old man, Thomas sure was quick.
