She turned around, pointed a wand at the round object, and lifted it off the ground. Griff and I stood side by side, neither of us moving, breathing, or doing anything else but keeping our gazes fixed on the explosive.
Luna drove in a straight line, seeming to be aware of the threat and not wanting to break Juniper’s concentration.
The young woman levitated the object through the hatch and didn’t release her wand for several moments. “Mum,” she said, her voice deathly calm. “I’m holding it still. Drive away as fast as you can.”
