Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate
Every sound overlaps, collides, and nothing is in sync.
Tires hiss on the street outside, rubber slicing through puddles, spraying arcs of dirty water that slap against parked cars. A bus rolls past, heavy, the vibration rumbling up through the floor and into my shoes. Somewhere, a baby cries, sharp, stuttering, then is hushed by a voice too soft to cut through the noise.
My mind continues to catch every sound, every movement... just like it always does.
