High Pitched Noise When Blowing Nose Novels & Stories

I can hear the loud thumping of my heart and the churns in the pit of my stomach, but I choose to ignore it. The noises stop and my breath hitches when I feel a gust of wind behind me. The hair on my skin starts to rise and I gulp nervously before I immediately turn, flashing the light just to see everything settle back in its place. I wonder if I am exaggerating. But i do hear the nosies around me.

He barked. Aurelia closed her eyes and could hear an odd slurping noise followed by a pop. She deduced the noise came from her left but saw nothing. Her nose tasted the air, muskeg, ro,t, and something else she hadn't smelled before. Her eyes moved to a building, something about the noise worried her. Her head turned to the roof and her instincts went crazy, "They are coming from above." Aurelia shouted.

I glanced up at him. I sniffed. In that moment, I felt it: my nose was spilling; my eyes were burning. My head was banging. “Oh, god!” I gasped, stepping back. My hand slapped over my nose and mouth, and I pulled it back, staring at my slick palm. “How…,” I breathed. I moved to the sink and spent a full minute with my face under the rushing tap. I blew my nose, rinsed my eyes, my mouth, even splashed the back of my neck.

Beep* Her enhanced hearing, once a gift, now cursed her. The relentless honking of vehicles drilled into her brain, each echo threatening her skull to split into two. Sirens howling in the distance, voices rising in panic, the sharp crackle of broken glass shifting around her. And worse, the low, maddening buzzing that seemed to come from inside her ears, like static crawling beneath her skin. She moaned. Then– *Bang. Bang. Bang* The sudden pounding on her window jolted her back to the surface.

My head felt as if the skull was compressing and expanding at the same time, to breathing also proved to be a challenge because it hurt to drag air into my lungs. My body instinctively curled into a ball as a way of alleviating the pain. Neither the rain nor the cold wind blowing could do anything to ease the wrenching pain. For long agonizing minutes, the snapping went on before everything suddenly went still. I couldn't make out the sound of anything for a few seconds before I heard a loud ringing in my ears which made me groan in discomfort, my body coiling tighter than ever, then the ringing stopped. My head was pressed to the ground but, I could oddly hear the whooshing sound of the win

It was mesmerizing. He lifted his foot to step in the direction the air was flowing to, but suddenly stopped. He looked at the man. The man was staring intently, unmoving. The strange humming sound was growing louder. He raised his other leg and placed it in the direction where the sound was coming from. As soon as he placed his foot in the air, the humming suddenly faded, and was replaced with a deafening roar of noise. It was almost overwhelming and caused the hair on his arms to stand on ends.

I only help but smile silently. He'll forever remember and regret this conversation. His manly fingers snaps loudly before my eyes. "You with me sister?" He snaps harder. Seems I appeared lost while conversing my thoughts. My eyes stir. They open up to his fingers annoying crushing themselves. I blink rapidly. I hastily huff them off my face. It's pretty annoying listening to snappy sound few inches from one's ear. It's similarly annoying as buzzy sounds and I despise it. "I questioned you sis"

My lips twitched when I remembered what it means. My med student cousin lectured me about the so called ‘ringing in the ears’ known as tinnitus which sound like blowing, roaring, buzzing, hissing, humming, whistling, or sizzling. The noises heard can be soft or loud. The person may even think they’re hearing air escaping, water running, the inside of a seashell, or musical notes. It can happen when you are over-sensitive to a loud noise. “I have to go,” I cleared my throat and gathered my things then my unfinished milk tea.

Not today. It was then I heard it. A soft, wet sound. Gurgling. Faint. But it was there. I bolted up to my feet, senses on high alert. Whoa. The coppery smack of blood just slammed into my nose—fresh, too. Instinct pretty much took over. I shot off toward the noise, ducking and dodging around tree trunks, branches smacking at my arms, ‘til I stumbled right onto whatever the hell was making that mess.

I tell myself as I sigh hard. I'm grown, I can like a kid, Bella is one. "Jay, open up!" My Mom called. "What happened... Have your dinner first!" She yelled. I want to speak to her but I can't... My nose started to bleed. The second time in one week. I didn't have any drugs. I feel my nose, I don't have any injury. My chest is beating unusually, I can hard breath through my nose, I start breathing from my mouth. Sit slowly on the floor to regain myself.
