Nina spoke blandly. The Lycan was silent. Things had taken a turn. She was going to lose her mind soon enough. So why not just let go? “I will ask you again, what is your name?” Nina asked with irritation. The Lycan was silent for a moment, Nina thought she was not going to say anything this time until- “Rayne.” She choked out. Nina stared at her for a moment. “Good. That is a nice first step.” Nina gave Rayne a strange smile that made her shiver.

The girls walked to each person and they picked the paper on the tray, when one of them walked over to me, I muttered prayers before I picked a neatly folded paper. After everyone had picked the papers, the girls went back and stood behind the beta. “Please you may all now open your papers,” the beta said. I calmly unfolded my paper, the name that stared back at me almost made tears slip right out of my eyes, I had gotten Alpha Raiden. “Who did you get?” Marian asked excitedly, She was busy unfolding hers. “I got Beta Noah,” she said, her voice lynched with sadness. “I got Alpha Raiden,” I said sadly.

Ahren yawns before he smirks. “Real as can be, and in the flesh.” He winks. “This boy…” Rayhan’s jaw ticks and Dad shakes his head. “Stop stressing your parents out. Now what the fuck are you doing here?” he asks, frowning at him.

I said then… Zahred, Iared & Daemnixi threw their D-Pads in the air and transformed into a Duel Disk and slotted in their right arms also they put on their duel gazer on, as for me a Dharkonic Tattoo appeared surrounding my left Dharkonic Eye and opened my Dharkonic Eye and began to glow more luminous. “Augmented Reality established” said the AI “okay Arnold let’s duel” said Iared “okay Iared, Zahred & Daemnixi bring it on” I said “DUEL!!!” We shouted and my duel against Iared, Zahred & Daemnixi had just begun.

I guess it’s time we all figured out what is going on. “Max, would you take Jaxon and Eden to play upstairs? Only for a short while. We have some grown-up business to speak to each other about.” Rayne asked Max. Max wanted to be included, but Rayne told him he would explain things to all of them once he had figured things out himself. “Come on, you two,” Max reluctantly agreed and off they went. We all got a drink and sat around the table. Rayne started the conversation by telling us all how he was the oldest of his four siblings, Autumn, Gale and Summer. He left the Forest Green Pack to follow his dream job in the Royal Guard, which is how he met Nathan.

No Arianna’s venomous sneer. “Just them,” Rayne mused, like she was testing those words. I could feel her thoughts drifting as she said those words, circling that dangerous edge, and I quickly pushed back. “Don’t even think about it,” I warned immediately. Rayne huffed, but I felt her amusement ripple under her skin. “You’re no fun,” she teased, her silver eyes glinting as she turned to look at Spencer. “I’ll take it if that means keeping you from making a terrible, terrible decision right now.”

His eye was still closed even after putting ice on it after dinner. “Yeah, what is it?” Dax took a step into the study, leaving the door open. “Sorry to disturb you in your sanctuary but I thought you should know about something – and for you to do something about it. I would myself, but I’m just a teenager as you like to remind me sometimes.” “I see,” Ray said as he leaned back in his black leather office chair, staring at the angsty teen. “And what is that?”

Drake growled. Suddenly, his eyes turned red; he was fuming mad as he transformed. He runs towards the rouge, who transforms into a werewolf and mercilessly scratches his back. He wasn’t contented; he attacked the rouge, and then Drake beheaded the rouge until it transformed into a human, lying on the ground, lifeless. They fought the other rouge and howled angrily. “That’s for poisoning my stray!” Drake gritted his teeth as he beheaded them all. Beta Dillon picked up the poison's antidote and gave it to the alpha.

I almost forget it was raining. Lightning illuminates the forest, golden whips of energy igniting the air. Thunder soon follows, its whine crackling through the air and hurting my ears. "Let's go." I look up at the sky, amazed at his horrible tantrum. "Ray and Xavier, let's get on your backs and get going quickly." Without a word of complaint, they oblige. Ray approaches me first, smiling brightly. "My lady?" he bows, and I laugh at his weird fake accent. Xavier, a little dismayed, lets Danae rush to his back.

"Rayne.'' I snapped, and acknowledgement flashed through his eyes, followed by mischief and then fury. Still, he didn't move a muscle. He slowly took a sip of his brandy, set his book down on the side table, and we locked eyes. “Oh, Rayne… you mean the young Reaver who is coming into her powers outside of a Coven? The young Reaver who is still very much alive, and dreamwalking without even knowing it. That Rayne? Yes, what about her?" He said nonchalantly. My anger simmered just below the surface, its fiery tendrils threatening to erupt once more, and I struggled to maintain a fragile grip on my composure, fighting to keep the storm of rage from breaking free.
