Narine I was laughing my brains out, no, really. The kind of laugh that snatches breath from your lungs and leaves your ribs aching, your cheeks flushed, and your soul feeling... lighter. My stomach hurt, my eyes stung from the tears, and my cheeks felt like they'd crack from smiling so hard. Hasmik hadn't changed one bit. Still as unfiltered and hilarious as ever, commanding the room like it was her damn stage. Her timing, expressions, and the way she delivered even the simplest line had all of us doubled over in laughter. I could barely keep up with her quips, and neither could anyone else.

She asked after we broke apart. “Horrible.” I replied with a faint chuckle, “Everything was going well until that walking toothpick accused my father and the company of fraud.” Hilda paused for a moment as her eyes furrowed, then loud, uncontrollable laughter followed. I turned to face her, puzzled. “What's funny?” I asked, crossing my legs with a surprise grin on my face. “A walking toothpick?” Hilda scoffed, “Damn girl, you're harsh.” “I'm serious,” I replied, trying not to smile. “You need to see this man; I bet the wind can easily blow him away.”

The dude has always been a jerk, and will always remain a jerk. I heard a laugh, and it certainly wasn't Hakim that was laughing because he was right in front of me and I had eyes, so I didn't actually know who was laughing, but it took me time to realize that I was actually the one laughing, and when I say laughing, I mean laughing hysterically, like a green witch with a flying broom in a children's television series, and Hakim was staring at me as if I had gone mad. Well, I had actually gone mad, and he was responsible for it.

Liam had an uncanny ability to infuse laughter and light-heartedness into any situation. His jokes, witty remarks, and playful banter seemed to dissolve the weariness of the physical work we were engaged in. The repetitive strokes of the paintbrush and the meticulous care required to refurbish the furniture might have been tiring, but Liam's humor was a refreshing reprieve. It kept us going, and his ability to make even mundane tasks feel like fun was a testament to his infectious spirit.
