You said Celia would wake up by now.” Lorcan questioned the pack doctors as soon as they arrived. He is starting to get anxious once again when he saw that the pack doctor looked more clueless than they were last night The Pack doctors did not know what to answer. The Luna’s blood that she had received should be more than enough to wake her up. How could they explain this? “We just need more time to allow Miss Celia’s body to recover,” one of them answered when the Luna’s blood was supposed to also speed up that process.

I narrowed my eyes at him and stood to my feet. “Doctor, I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Luna Silver,” I told him. He bowed his head, bearing his neck. “Luna, it’s an honor to finally meet you. I’m Dr. Kyle Laurence,” he told me. My frown deepened; I’d seen a picture of Dr. Laurence a while back in a medical magazine. He was a very good doctor and won many rewards. This doctor resembled Dr. Laurence, and he smiled like pack, but there was something about him that I couldn’t put my finger on.

I took a deep breath, plastered a graceful, flawless smile onto my face, and turned around slowly to face him. "What exactly do you mean by that question, Lucas?" I asked, tilting my head in mock confusion. "You are speaking to your Luna. Have you forgotten your manners?" Lucas did not flinch. He did not bow. He stood his ground, his eyes burning with a terrifying, absolute certainty. "I meant exactly what I said," Lucas stated, his voice dangerously quiet. "I know for a fact that you are not the Luna. You are not Evelyn."

He seemed eager to help me and I couldn’t say no to that because I wanted to be helped, I needed to know who I was and where I was from. “I have bad news,” the doctor said as he walked into the room that I had been kept in. ”what is going on?” I asked him. ”Well, the Luna is in heat and she is here since Lukas is away on a trip,” he said and my heart started pounding so loud I couldn’t even hear what the doctor was saying. ”What?” I asked him in a distressed voice. ”I said the luna is here for treatment because she is in heat. I have to give her medication that will push it back until Lukas is back,” he repeated.
