Horror Nights
The light bounced, strobe-lighting the room in frantic bursts.
In one flash, I saw the Twins standing up. In the next, Lady Genevieve was leaning forward, her porcelain fingers reaching out. In the third, the Bride had stood from her rocking chair, the veil fluttering as if moved by a breath that wasn't mine.
I lunged for the phone, my fingers brushing the cold metal just as a small, porcelain hand clamped onto my wrist. The grip was ice-cold and unnaturally strong. I screamed, kicking out, and managed to grab the phone. I shone the light directly at the thing holding me.
