In a heartbeat, the humming stopped. The Source’s claw slipped. To the eyes of the anomaly in the sky, the Earth had vanished. The planet was now a silent, cold marble in the void, hidden behind a veil of violet static that mirrored the background radiation of the universe. The Source wavered. Its golden sensors searched the dark, but there was nothing to harvest. With a slow, frustrated ripple of space-time, the eye in the sky began to close. The nebula retreated, pulling its shards back into the dark.

The universe goes through a constant cycle of creation and destruction. It is called Mahapralay. Similarly, the Earth also goes through cycles of creation and destruction. This story is set in one of the previous Earth cycles when legendary creatures like witches, sorcerers, dragons lived alongside humans. The Earth was divided into 5 continents and ruled by powerful nations. Among them, there was a tranquil beautiful nation of Shambhala. It was said to be the oldest. Blessed by the Creator God Brahma himself.

And suddenly— a giant eye opened inside the darkness. Not golden like the creator.

His hard body and strong arms. He lifted his head and once more waved a hand. At once hundreds of flames leapt, lighting candles around the huge underground chamber. “In these last centuries, we have all found our own retreats. This is one of mine. The candles are made from nature’s most healing elements. The earth here is particularly welcoming to our kind.”

Beyond mapped lands. Beyond the edges of recorded history. The Hollow Expanse stirred. The ground there was not earth as the world knew it. It was glassed obsidian plains scarred by ancient cataclysms. The sky above it never held a true dawn or dusk. Only a dim, perpetual twilight. And deep beneath that broken land… Something opened its eyes. Not bound. Not sleeping. Waiting. A pulse of ancient awareness rippled outward across the fractured ley lines of the world. It felt the shift Aria had created.

The world broke open. Stone, ash, and fragments of the throne scattered through the air as the palace collapsed beneath us. A roar unlike anything I had ever heard tore across the realm deep, endless, filled with hunger that felt older than creation itself. The Hollow was rising. Its body unfolded from beneath the earth like living night, stretching higher and higher until it pierced the fractured sky. Shadows poured from it in waves, swallowing light wherever they touched. I couldn’t even see its full shape.

Kaela’s scream echoed through the fractured chamber, a raw and primal sound that sliced through the veil between worlds. The remnants of the Hollow’s domain twisted and writhed around her, unstable and imploding. Fractured timelines spiraled into one another, collapsing under the weight of what had just occurred. The relic blade trembled in her grasp, still pulsing with the energy of a forgotten age.
