Honey This Mirror Isn't Big Enough Novels & Stories

It was low and so quiet that I had to strain to hear it, but there was no mistaking that voice. It was Lina’s. Throwing caution to the wind, because I was fearless like that, I said fuck it and approached the mirror. The frame wasn’t just silver, it also had carvings of the moon phases down each side. At the top was a crystal the size of my fist. It sparkled as I approached, and part of me wondered if it was in greeting or a warning that my soul was about to get sucked out through my nose. With my luck it would be the latter.

His wife had sacrificed far too much. They had left the honey in a space inside a large earthen jar while Eldora was treating. Mira wanted to test whether honey could multiply since it was a natural and not man made. It worked… Before fainting from complete exhaustion, Mira had willed the large earthen jar and the smaller containers out from space. He transferred them to the smaller jars and bought them out to make the story believable. “This should be enough,” Zelda finally murmured. Her fingers moved absentmindedly as she counted the jars once more.

It was old, the frame tarnished silver worked into a pattern of vines, the glass itself dark, like looking into a pool of standing water rather than a mirror. My reflection didn’t show up in it the way it should have. I turned it over in my hands, then carried it over to where Melissa was sleeping. “Melissa.” I touched her shoulder. “Wake up. I think I found something.” Her eyes opened, blinking blearily, and then sharpened the second they landed on the mirror in my hands. She sat up straighter.

He almost stepped forward but then hesitated. I got into the car without another glance. Wealth, however great, was fleeting without true competence. I recognized that the beggar was Daniel. But so what? We were strangers now.

Miles said as Angela sat on the floor…sighing. She’s done that a lot lately. The four of them were hungry. They were tired of looking for food. They wanted to eat and eat alone. “The Queen Sprite gave us a mirror.” Angela brought it out showing the two others. Justin took it, looking at the mirror like there were cooties on it. “This thing will be worth a lot of money.” Justin stroked his chin in thought. “Do you think selling it is the best?” Miles said taking the mirror from him, looking at it carefully.

But that's the least of his worries right now, what matters to him most for now is if she'll say yes or not. Meanwhile, Carylle took her time, taking in the slowly running seconds by looking into his eyes that bore the color of honey. She sighed, her way of waving the white flag of defeat. "If you insist then," she said, sitting back on the couch. "Good thing I have an extra pair of silverware here," she mumbled and took out another cutlery case from the tote.

I wasn't a teenager , I was twenty already . ~&~ " Make sure you get everything you left here " He said . I tripped on a broken table and was caught by that man . " Stop being so clumsy and get out " He order , " you are ordering me like a boss , and I don't even know your name " I whispered to myself . I gasp as my hand was lifted by his .I turned around to face him , he was a inch away . My heat rose like a train up my cheeks , my heart beat got loud , I bite my lip out trying to back away but he didn't let me .

Could it be that my mom has already awoken in reality before me? I can finally go home. I feel myself smile while rushing towards it. But the mirror is broken. The horror of my realization dawns on me as the little pieces of glass stay scattered on the floor. No... I pick up the pieces in hopes that I can still exit this horror. No... But to no avail, I still cannot see myself in it. No... And I can no longer see myself sleeping on the bed with it. The mirror is gone like powder and ashes. How can I go home now?

Pressed both hands flat against the frame on the left side. Pushed gently. Nothing. I tried the right side. Still nothing. I stepped back. Looked at it more carefully. The mirror sat slightly proud of the wall. Just slightly. Not enough to notice unless you were looking. I pressed the bottom corner. A soft click. The mirror swung outward on a concealed hinge. Behind it was a shallow recess cut into the plaster. Not large. Perhaps thirty centimeters wide. Twenty tall. But deep enough. Inside it sat a metal document box.

But with so much free time, my thoughts often wandered, and that longing became impossible to ignore. Eventually, I created a small hole in my bedroom wall, installing a one-way mirror on the other side. Whenever a strong and attractive young man was looking to rent a place, I made sure to place him in that unit. Antonio, my newest tenant, turned out to be more intense and captivating than I had imagined. When he brought his girlfriend home earlier, I couldn't resist watching them through the one-way mirror. What I witnessed left me overwhelmed, a scene that stirred something deep within me.
