MONSTERS: Adhira

MONSTERS: Adhira

She said as she handed me the book. I contemplate each feature of the book, and I can say nothing is special about it. Aside from two things. It has a hardbound leather cover embroidered with gold. It’s old fashioned, I can say. “No one has read that yet maybe because they won’t be able to can open that." She said, and that what caught my attention. Why would a book not be able to be open? It has no lock in the first place! "And, by the way, the last one to open that was Paxton." She said and suddenly disappear in just a snap.

Corrupt Temptation

Corrupt Temptation

Instead of using a lock an organic substance that resembled thin hardened vines or entwined prickly twigs wrapped around the cover and held it closed. They appeared to have a slight nearly living pulse. I scowled curious. What sort of book was this and why was it bound this way? I tugged harder my fingers grazing the rough intricate surface as I attempted to untangle the odd binding. Then a piercing burning pain. I let out a gasp. I looked down at my finger as I flinched away dropping the book with a loud thump. My skin had a thin deep line that was already crimson and dripping blood. With a sharp hiss of pain I muttered a curse. I had been deeply and sharply cut by the binding.

First of all, I love the suspense. Its giving read more and find out and then I like Ivy's boldness or should I say her not being scared of anything. Like, I could feel the chills when she saw the rope. Girl isn't scared of anything... lemme go and read more... Nice work, author.

Christmas in Evergreen

Christmas in Evergreen

I raised a brow while Amanda ran over to the counter and rummaged through her bag before coming back to me and handing me a tablet, “What’s this?” I asked; Amanda smiled and unlocked the tablet bringing me to a screen with an image with the title of my book and my name! “I hope you don’t mind, but,” Amanda motioned to the tablet and said, rather loudly, “I designed a cover for your book!” I looked at the image; it was a woman with a dragon wrapping itself around her. It looked incredible and, honestly, exactly how I envisioned it! I couldn’t help myself from bursting into tears. “What’s wrong?” Amanda asked, clearly worried, “Did I mess it up? Is it not what you were looking for?” I shook my

Unchain: The Sacred Curse

Unchain: The Sacred Curse

The light also disappeared as soon as she tried flipping the covers—that made her think; maybe she was just hallucinating earlier. What shocked her though was seeing a black steel covering the whole book’s pages—that looked like a jewelry box with a lock that was made to prevent the pages from being read. A small keyhole was placed at the middle part of the metallic cover that is why she immediately assumed that the book needed a key to be read. When she was about to find the librarian, she suddenly just dropped on the cold, marble floor because of the sudden force that suddenly came rushing while pushing her body down. "Oh no, dear, you're not leaving this place. Not unless you bring me wit

Promised to The Don

Promised to The Don

I squinted my eyes and glared at her. Tentatively, she removed the paper cover of her book. Underneath was a far cry from the gently paper cover. The paper cover had a street with cherry blossoms blooming on each side. The title ‘Never Apart’ indicated a soft romance. The ‘real’ book cover, the one hidden under cherry blossoms was a half naked man, He had no shirt and showed tight muscles. all over his torso were tattoos His hand enclosed the throat of a blonde girl, she was dressed in a shirt probably his because of how large it is. Her head is thrown back in obvious pleasure and the title is ‘Choke me Harder.’ Definitely nothing a sophisticated young miss should read.

The Rejected Goddess

The Rejected Goddess

"We should check it. Now." I stood and pulled the drawer open, carefully lifting the ancient book and placing it on the table between us. The Living Book lay still. Silent. Waiting. Minutes passed. Then an hour. Nothing happened. I tapped the cover lightly. Still nothing. My brows furrowed. After a moment of hesitation, I took out a needle, pricked my finger, and let a drop of blood fall onto the cover. Zaki stared at me like I'd lost my mind. "Why are you bleeding on a book? Is this some kind of weird ritual?"

The King's faceless wife.

The King's faceless wife.

"Here you go, My Queen." Mirra walked in to the chambers with the large book in her hands. "It took me a minute but I managed to get all the dust out. Misha showed me an excellent way to rid the dust from the book. All I needed was two willing friends to hold the cover of the book at either side and let the pages hang upside down. Many delicate swatting later, the book is as clean as it can be." I watched as Mirra walked over to the dining table and placed the large book in front of me.

I’ve been hocked on this story. Glad I started reading this book when it was completed though because I also hate with a passion the waiting for updates. At first this Bar, future King needed a royal kick in the behind did he really think she had a choice in any of this.

I LOVE this book! It’s the only book I’ve really kept up with that wasn’t complete yet when I started reading it I waited for the daily updates and I’m not the waiting type. Usually I lose interest after awhile but this book hooked me in and continued to keep me hook. Thank you for this amazing book

She Ditched Her Scumbag Husband After Her Amnesia

She Ditched Her Scumbag Husband After Her Amnesia

She transcribed the contents of the book and walked around the room a few times. No place felt safe no matter where she looked. Finally, Helma saw the bookshelf. The most dangerous place was also the safest place. Helma spent a whole night, perfectly hiding the Book of Medical Remedies within a book. The decoy book was crafted from thick kraft paper and could be divided into two layers. Helma concealed every page of the Book of Medical Remedies within each page of the decoy book. Cover to cover, one would never suspect the existence of the Book of Medical Remedies.

Double Mate For The Princess

Double Mate For The Princess

Her words barricaded my mind, kept it from exploring the options that would come from rebelling. I need to think of something, failsafes, a way to protect Zara from how terribly wrong this whole thing could spiral into and staying idle in my room would not help. I pushed myself up from the bed, my leg landed on something thick as I hit the ground. It was not the regular hard tiled surface but a rich, hard book cover. Half of the book was hidden under the bed. On the front, it read nothing. It was just a plain, faded pink, thick covered book or so it appeared to be until I started flipping through the pages.

Lexie and Killian

"Take a look." The book was covered in heavy, embossed leather and in the center, in script, was the letter K. What the hell was this? A scrapbook? What kind of scrapbook could Dusty have been keeping? He continued eating in silence, preparing himself for whatever he was going to see, while Marliss and Lou gave him what he called the deadeye stare. Finally, he pushed his plate away, wiped his mouth, and opened the book.
