The house was too quiet… that something felt odd. In the middle of the night, where the full moon had shone, Arth had trouble sleeping. His exhausted body wanted to rest so badly but his guts were keeping him awake. He groaned as he sat up from his white bed, then he glanced through the windows. His eyes went wide of what he saw. A white owl stood on a branch of a tree outside, watching Arth. Its white feathers gleamed with the moonlight but its eyes glowed brightly—so round and entirely locked at him. Who would see a damn bird that has glowing eyes?

The house was grey and black in colour, cobwebs hung on each side. Making the house look like an ancient witch house, designed only for the Divines. Owls hooting were heard from afar, bats flapping their wings. Huns could be heard as if a choir was nearby but then..there was none.

Ariadne was amazed with its beauty and quit surprised not ever seeing on ever. Moreover, a small great horned baby owl was resting itself on her shoulder. Its eyes were open and it has golden eye with black circles around it. It has pure white fur with black highlights its chest with thick feathers around its neck just like a fur. It keeps making a small ‘hooo’ sound every time she jumps. Eve hiss at her owl in a low voice. “Marion! You have to keep quiet! If anyone hear you, they will catch us and we’ll be punished for sure. Do you know how hard it is to hide from Khalid?”

Charlie Owen isn’t in the kitchen anymore when I come back down the stairs. The house is dark, with the exception of a soft glow coming from the screened-in porch. A single candle is lit and sitting on the table out there, and Owen’s back is to me as he looks at the fountain in the pond behind his house. There’s a light in it, making the simple fountain look much fancier at night than it actually is.

I drew the line when his talons got to close and nicked my shoulders. "Ow! Knock it off!" He would not be stopped, however, and I was slowly propelled toward the door. "Hey, calm down!" I said, pushing against the door, "If you want me to go in, you better cut it out now!" Surprisingly, the owl stopped pushing me and settled back on the lantern. He ruffled his feathers, smoothed them, then purred again. I put my hand on the large, polished handle, hesitating to enter. Though I was intrigued by the old-fashioned feel of the house—I'm a sucker for antiques—I could not figure out whether or not someone was actually here.

’ Ginika hissed silently, he wished he could shut his ears to the ranting of these girls. Something moved in the shadow, drawing his attention. He let his gaze dwell upon the tree on the right, hoping to catch a glimpse of what it was. There, sitting like a King on one of the treetops, was an Owl. His stomach knotted as the realization struck him. ‘Be wary of an owl, especially in the night.’ The voice of the village chief reminded from before. “Zahra, Dodo, wait up,” He shouted and ran after the girls who hadn’t noticed his absence.

Birds chirped up in the trees enjoying the view from their resting place, singing mating songs to their partners. "You guys understood, right?" Zoey asks to be sure. "If anyone approaches the building, give the signal. Try an owl call" she says. Hunter purses his lips and give out two short blasts imitating the eerie sound of midnight owls. Chirag looks dumbfounded at him. "Where did you learn how to do that?" Hunter shrugged. "Learnt it from my dad a long time ago" "We're going in. Man the premises" Hunter casts an amused glance at Zoey who's acting all sergeant-like. He gives a small salute. "Roger"

Not that I would—the light would scare the owl off, and I don’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As I glide toward the window on light feet, my mind unfurls. Excitement makes my heart flutter. Taking pictures isn’t merely a pastime or career for me. At the deepest level, it feeds my soul. I'm no better that the person who crashed into them that night. I approach the window, which is still wide open. Lost in thought, I contemplate the surrounding landscape. These deep woods and their serenity usually soothe me. But, unfortunately, not tonight. Suddenly, I hear a hustle of wings and look up. What the...? My owl flies up to my window sill! She stays perfectly still for a moment. I do the same, lest the slightest gestures should make her flee. For a while, I forgot my trouble. She watches me with her big, mysterious eyes and then bends her head so far as to touch my cheek.

This is the house with the swing set. Violet is eager to play. Iris takes one look at it and says, “What are we, babies?” Violet shrinks back then, following her sister’s lead. I look at Mrs. Pine again. “Next one?” she asks. “Please,” I say. The third and final house of the day sits along the very edge of the school district, but the houses are more spaced out. There’s a bit of a forest along one side. “The previous owners praise the wildlife here,” Mrs. Pine says. “White-tail deer walk through the yard every morning. And sometimes there are turkeys.”
