I failed to be simply her husband. Even if... Even if it's just a cover up. Even if it's all... Fake. Haa, fuck I couldn't help but to let out a bittersweet smile. Feeling bitter after all those things I have said. Damn. I feel like... I'm the biggest jerk in town. They said I'm the most intelligent man in my generation since I graduated being called all sort of names like progidy, genius and whatnots but this one woman is making me feel like this.

“Of course not! That’s not what I’m going to do. I’d rather have him carry on and find some other girl to pester and cheat on.” “And to think he says he’s smart,” Helen murmurs. I can’t help but giggle at that. She has a point; Nate has always said that he graduated from a top college with a high IQ, but his actions say otherwise. I concluded a while ago that the stupidest people were always the smart ones. Nate is a testament to that.

Britney asked bluntly, her eyes briefly glancing at the changing area for the ladies. Franklin's lips curled into a slight smirk, his hands clasped in front of him, his steady voice answering, "Britney, sometimes I really want to advise you: don’t be so smart! Crap, crap, crapety crap. Turning around, the unreadable face of the man I was just vividly imitating greets me. Did I say the word crap already? I wonder if this is one of those moments where I can simply say “oops, sorry” with a big smile and a shrug, and wave it off? “What? Not such a smart mouth now, huh?”.

Needless to say the obvious, this night would have turned out to be more deadly than it already was. Sometimes I really wonder if I am stupid. Too dumb and foolish to realize the obvious. A disappointment. Probably the reason why I may never make it out of here. How could I not realize that the third seat would be for the third person living in this house. A living, breathing, annoying and callous human being with a twisted sense of humour. I wonder if he is worse or could be worse than my captor himself.

He declared. "And what do you mean by that? Leo yelled. "Which lady in her right senses will settle for an over-pampered, egocentric; and an unmannered man like the one seated before me?"
