I cannot promise that you will always be happy, but I vow to do everything in my power to turn your frowns into smiles. It's not within my ability to guarantee that all of your dreams will come true, but I promise that we will make new dreams together and strive to achieve them. Although I cannot prevent you from falling ill, I vow to take care of you and support you during those times. Above all, I cannot promise that we will never have disagreements or that you won't get angry with me, but I assure you that I will always work to make things right and express my love for you through simple gestures like kissing you until you are no longer upset.

I search his eyes for a second then my eyes go down to his lips that are so close to mine. I gulp, looking up in his black orbs. “ Promise? ” I am still suspicious, but I think there is no harm in trusting him for once, even if manipulating and hurting people is his job. He chuckles breathily and shakes his head before saying. “ I promise. ”

I stammered, feeling sad about it. “But if you want, if you really want, you can leave this life behind and start a new one with me, and I promise you that you will be the happiest woman in this fucking world. I will take care of making you happy for the rest of your days. Just let me make this promise to you, and you will never cry from sadness again, but only from happiness,” he said with such expression that it was almost impossible for my heart not to melt with love for him.

She told me and I already knew that was the case, so it didn’t really catch me off guard, though it stung more than I would ever admit. “I will be fine, your happiness is all I want.” I assured her, giving her a faint smile. “What if you are not? I don’t want to lose you.” She told me and I understood why she was so upset. “I promise you, that even if I am not fine, I will always be here for you. All I ever want from you is you to be happy. I would never come between you and Hunter. I can’t help the way I feel, but I promise you on everything, it changes nothing.” I promised her, knowing that I would rather die than break that promise.

I don't know if it was a dream or it did happen really when I felt a another wave of tingles run through me as a pair of lips touched my forehead and I heard a soft whisper. "I promise you won't ever cry again, my Eve. I've finally found you and I'll never let you go.
