The boy's sense of awe rippled through me as my eyes took in the Phoenix, temporarily covered in flames before it quickly snuffed the flames out and left a breathtaking bird in its place. The vibrant colours of yellow, orange, and red stretched from his beak to his tail. The bird asks her. -"No, but I am scared of losing my friend." -"You are scared of losing your friend, but not scared of me. You are a peculiar little girl. Here take these." Using his wings, he instructs little Naomi to cup her hands, and she does. The bird leans his eye close to them, letting two crystal tears fall onto her tiny hands.
