She breathed out. Her life felt so perfect it scared her so much. She had the husband of her dreams. He did everything right, and almost always said the right thing. It was as if she was some in some kind of fairytale dream and soon enough she’d wake up then it would all be gone. The silence made her heart pound and she could not keep her eyes away from his. “For a moment I thought I was dreaming,” he muttered to himself. Well, that was understandable since it was a citation neither of them expected to happen. “I’m not giving you this book Ace. Just let me pass so that this can go by peacefully.” “Only if you tell me what’s the big deal with that book,” he said. “There’s no deal.”

He bought Laila's favorite necklace in advance, yet when it came to me, he'd only make such empty promises. I bet he'd be delighted after I was gone. He could finally be with Laila. My eyes welled up once more, but I took a deep breath to calm myself. My life has never been as perfect as I had hoped. It's been a roller coaster ride. Life is said to be full of ups and downs. But I suppose my life has more downs than ups. Those closest to me walk right past me, leaving me alone. After that incident, I decided not to trust anyone. Nobody should be believed. It's best not to get too attached to anyone. Most importantly, do not fall in love with anyone.

He doesn’t look me in the eye as he speaks. "Something like that." I repeat. "However, I find it best not too run to the bottom of a bottle." This is not my place, let it go! But he’s the one to keep it going this time. "And I find it best not to chain myself to someone else's world." He retorts. "Fair enough." I say and carry on with my reading, twirling my pencil in my fingers until I need it. I thought that would be the end of this strange encounter but Aidan had other plans. He stared down at my book.

I continued to stare at it forgetting I was here to make some enquiries. Suddenly it became opaque, I looked at Penelope that I didn't even notice at first in the office. I saw her with a remote in her hands, I don't know what she did here and I don't want to know. "You were supposed to look at me and not to look out of the glass." She complained. "Oops my bad!!! You were too small so I didn't see you when I entered. What caught my attention was the beautiful city, so attractive unlike you." I replied her, actually I was telling the truth.

He looped the path. “You know what? Everything I did was because I needed to be perfect. The perfect council. The perfect friend. Perfect for everything. Love is not even a thing for me. My stepfather and stepbrother wanted perfection. You! You are the only one who ruined it! Who stained it!” Josh ranted. His nerves loosened. His neck moved with vibration. His mouth never grew tired. He told everything. The pain. The stress. Everything. “Everybody expects something, but you don’t have to pretend, Mr. President.” Tristan’s voice was low. The temper in his mind cooled a bit.
