There's something about people who think it's okay to insult someone's job that just gets under my skin. I mean, come on! We all hustle, grind, and put in the effort to make a living. Whether you're flipping burgers, being a stripper, or, in my case, tutoring, it's all part of the daily grind.

His eyes widened even more at my insulting words. I've always been my most polite with him, even back when he tortures me every day.

You will not handle criticisms and insults well.” “Cute is a huge understatement, don’t you think?” He winked. “Cute is actually a very generous compliment,” I said, teasing him in return. “I will grow on you. One day, you’ll see.” He smiled, reaching across the table to pinch my nose. “Maybe. So let’s order before I starve to death and not live to see that day, shall we?”

Of course, the man didn't mean it in an abusive way even though the word seemed like an abusive word, he was just taken aback seeing a celebrity-looking lady shove pastries inside her mouth. The man find the situation funny and a bit irritated that he didn't know when he voice out his thoughts which he was already regretting at that fucking moment.

She replied. "A stray dog," I repeated, not the least bothered by her words. If she was trying to rile me up then she was failing terribly. I heard more hurtful words from people in my life that her words didn't really sound like an insult anymore. That is what happens when you hear a phrase repeatedly. You suddenly grew used to it or tired of it and at this point, I got both. I didn't like the insults but they no longer elicit any emotions from me.

By this time, My cheeks were burning so hard it could have boiled water. “Slut. Does she think Hunter has any interest in her?” “She is so stupid. She’s just a temporary fling.” “I can’t believe she’s so dumb. Look at her enjoying all the attention from the guys.” “Disgusting slut. The initiator of all these grabbed my hair and tugged my hair back. Not painfully, just firmly. As if making me aware of the threat he is.

Winston grins, "Well thank you, I try" "I feel like I'd be such a shite lawyer, I'd probably start sobbing the minute someone doesn't agree with me" I sigh, "Man I really should've thought this through before wasting so many years of my life and money on my law degree" I joke.
