Chapter 117 In the cover of darkness, Connor descended a hidden staircase concealed beneath a seemingly ordinary storage unit on the outskirts of the city. The dimly lit corridor led him to an underground bunker he had meticulously designed for utmost secrecy. It was a place where secrets were shared, alliances formed, and strategies hatched. Tonight, it was the setting for a crucial meeting with Orlando, a trusted confidant and a key player in their mission to take Michael down.

“What do you mean by that, Connor?” Connor explained in an upset tone, “New Moon Corporation just sent two men over. One of them was Fatty Frank, and the other one was a fierce guy. He beat up all my men and forced me to sign the contract.” Solomon went silent for a moment before a peal of bright and cheerful laughter came from the phone. Connor was still aggrieved when he heard the laughter from the phone. It fueled his displeasure. “Mr. Stormbrew, what are you laughing at?”

“I just recieved intelligence from the CIA that Mustafa, the head of the terrorist network we have been tracking for some months now is meeting with an arms dealer tomorrow morning at the outskirts of Baga town. I am sending you two because of your records as the best snipers in this unit. You are to set up communication with me once you get to the rendezvous point. One of the locals will show you the way through the mountains, which is the only way to get through the enemy territory undetected. A lot is at stake with this mission, and I am counting on you both to execute it perfectly. You may now take your leave.” “Sir.” They both saluted before leaving the Colonel’s tent. ! !

My brow furrowed. “Then why were those men afraid of you last night? They looked like… like they’d seen death itself when you walked in.”

Both Aurora and I instantly like this kid, he has a playful nature. Connor returns with wooden daggers, handing them out as other wolves wait to introduce themselves. Tristan must have linked him as he soon turns to Connor stating his alpha wants him and heads towards the side, following one of the many paths.

I asked, sarcasm lacing my voice despite the dread forming in my chest. “I, Alpha Damon Lockwood, reject you, Sienna De Luca, as my mate and Luna,” he said, his voice calm and deliberate. He didn't even seem to care. It was as if he was not even in pain. It was as if this was the most normal thing to do: fuck and reject. My eyes widened, but I fought hard to mask the pain and anger building inside me. My wolf whimpered, but I refused to let him see my suffering. “I, Sienna De Luca, accept your rejection,” I said, gesturing to the door. I took a deep breath and smiled, despite the ache threatening to break me. I was not going to allow him to see me being weak.

I ask, looking up from the sofa. "I gave my mate a vow that our muzzles would show the bond after six moons," Connor tells me, his large palm resting against my cheek. "If our back is not pressed against a lethal cliff, my beast wants to try its best to keep that promise." After speaking, his keys rattle as he locks away the territory documents.

“You don’t know what I can do. Or what I won’t do.” A ripple of whispers ran through the pack. Ronan’s hand gripped my shoulder, firm and grounding. And then it happened. He covered his eyes with the back of his hands as he tried to pin point what was baffling him exactly. What was it? What was it? What was... That back? She looked unusually meek saying those words.
