He was handsome, his light brown eyes stared at me with interest and a hint of jealousy. As if there was anything to be jealous about between me and Gabe.

"Just two of them and the others are trying to dig out other information respectively." Jake wasn't convinced. He glared at Kai like he would eat him up whole when he caught the scent of his other friends. "Sorry, we are late." Dilane, Zack, Oliver and Neil appeared. "But we are not sorry for that, are we?" Neil raised his eyebrows. Before Jake could comment, Oliver threw his phone in Jake's lap and said, "You were right, Jake, that this blondy is no Mr. Nice guy. He has a long history of drugging young girls and using them to satisfy his dick."

So get to the point already or Ralph will throw you out.” “I want to know where your father got his money from.” Jake hid his surprise. He’s not Daniel Riley. He’s Brian Silverman. He shrugged. “How should I know? He abandoned me and my mother when I was ten. I haven’t heard from him since.”

And I will protect them at all cost. Just then the phone beside his bed rang. Ring! Ring!! Ring!!! Jake just turned and stared at it. Ring! Ring!! Ring!!! It continued ringing. Jake sighed angrily and walked towards it. "Hello" he said, his voice, cool. "Hello buddy!!!" Jake thought the voice sounded mechanical. He remained silent "It is me Billy!.. your pal! Remember?! The man who killed your brother and whom you then slit his throat and left to choke to death on his own blood!!"

Not quite as large as Jake's motorhome, but still counted as a colossus among Level 5 rigs. The window rolled down, revealing a rugged, weathered face. The man looked to be in his thirties, his right eye hidden behind a thick fringe of hair, his left eye sharp and alert. He nodded toward Jake, then pulled a crumpled pack of cigarettes from his pocket, holding one out. "Hey, nice ride, man. Name's Gavin Wilde." Gavin Wilde? Something stirred in Jake's memory. He'd seen that name on the regional channel before, called "the Wild One" — a notable figure among the lone players, known for sharing intel freely, no strings attached.

As soon as they got into the basement, Jake saw Gary and Gale lying on the floor. They looked like two dead bodies. Gary had lost five fingers and a leg, and Gale had lost an arm. Jake was terrified. He had done a lot of nasty things for some powerful people over the years, but he rarely got caught. Even today, when he was brought to Skyler, he wasn't afraid. His men were loyal. Even when they failed in their mission, they wouldn’t give Jake away. Their whole family relied on Jake. However, seeing Gary and Gale cowering on the floor, without an arm or a leg, Jake guessed they might have given him away to Skyler.

“Emma, how are you?” He smiles as he approaches me at the bar. Jake is a lecturer in Social Studies (whatever that means), so as well as having a bum I could keep under observation all day, he’s a chatty man too. He’s wearing fitted jeans, vintage trainers and a T-shirt showing off biceps that could have been inflated with a tyre pump. I’ve dressed in what could be the first thing to fall out of my wardrobe – skinny jeans with a cotton shirt and military boots.

With a heavy sigh, Jake replied. “Alright, but it is only temporary until you get someone else for the position. I have my own plans.” Jake said with a smile. “Now that that is out of the way, two more serious situations concerning Miss. Susan Writtle.” Blake began., “Blake, about that, I’ve been in contact with an Abdu family from Africa and have been trying to secure her safety. As for Jenkins, it was a shock to me when I heard he was killed.” Jake quickly stated.

Killian sat in front of the cell that now held Caleb. He was bound in chains and currently hanging limp. He stared at this man and Drake saw red and wanted his blood. He didn't care who he was and what he was doing here. He was from them and he hurt her. He had the nerve to come to look for her here. Jake came up next to him a while later and told him Crystal was in his office and needed to speak to him. With a hard sigh, Killian stood up and walked to his office. He knew what Crystal wanted and knew he couldn't say no to her. She needed to watch him fall.
