Instead he said, “What are you reading?” She looked up this time. “Why?” she asked. “You’ve read it before,” he said. “The spine is worn.” She glanced down at the book, thumb brushing the edge like she hadn’t noticed that herself. “Persuasion,” she said. “Jane Austen.” He nodded. “Yeah, the one where they almost lose each other.” “You’ve read it?” “My sister did,” he said. “She used to leave it on the kitchen table, I read the first half by accident over about six months of breakfasts.”

Bound to the Vampire's Heir

Bound to the Vampire's Heir

"It was loosening. Probably from dancing." "If I were asking you I would have addressed you," snapped Mrs. Astor. "You are getting far too old to be playing games like this, Isaac. I should like to see you married soon. I would like a hand in training your heirs." "I am here reviewing my options. I fail to see how I could be-" "You barely engaged with any of these young ladies. In fact, I spent the majority of my own time this evening entertaining Ms. Austen."

Purest Hearts

Purest Hearts

She stops moving forward to them when she hears Mrs Smith talking. “Mr Davidson, Sir. I’m begging you to please consider your decision. Peter has worked here all his life. He has been working under the Williams family for years. And Jane… poor Jane. I feel so sorry for her. If the old Sir Williams is still alive, he wouldn’t let this happen. And Marianne, if she didn’t lose her memory… when she recovered her memory, it would devastate her that she didn’t put a stop to this. She was very close to Jane. she will surely blame herself for this. So please, Sir. I beg of you,” said Mrs Smith.

Marrying the Richest Man After My Break Up

Marrying the Richest Man After My Break Up

“This is outrageous! How dare you, a mere servant, speak to me like that? That woman upstairs took advantage of a brief break between Gerald and I and intervened in our relationship. She’s a shameless mistress. I must go upstairs and finish her off!” North understood now; it was Jane. She was the spoiled young lady from the Lane family. She constantly talked about “finishing people off”.

why is side characters are so stupid, while the rivals is so thick skinned to the point i feel like they are idiot. they keep thinking they can bully North despite Gerald backing (look at Cynthia). also Gabriel is same stupid. why he keep backing Reina eventho he know that she is not related?

Author. “I’m asking you for the last time, Micaela.” Jane folded her arms over her chest giving an ultimatum look. Micaela swipes her head at her way and stared sadly. Jane could clearly see her face which looked emotionally and physically drained. During the ride back to the mansion she noticed the girl was awfully quiet.

The Cruel Rejection

The Cruel Rejection

Sara either didn't hear it or purposely ignored it, but Jane suspected it was the latter when she said, "I know, Aunt. You're the strongest person I know. We love you, okay?" When was the last time anyone say this to her? Jane didn't bother hiding the emotion in her voice, "I love you, too. I'll see you soon." "I'll see you soon. Bye Aunt." Jane waited for her to hang up, but realized she was still on the line, not wanting to leave Jane first, and that was Jane breaking point. She quickly ended the call to finally let herself fall to her knees and weep for what she had lost. She wept for her ignorance to take Alexander as a challnage, how she marry him just for power.

Lickin
Awesome nd quite touching. Starting from the first chapter it builds up the curiosity like... "Hmm.. what's going on? what father did? Why these kids are discussing about him?" And with these questions you start digging deeper in the book. (Sorry Author will kill me if I spoil further.)

This is soooo great! I love the concept of the story on how Justin will meet Marian who will change his entire life and teach him how to love. I also love how the writer made the hero have a disability( discalculia) which made his character more effective ❤❤❤

I MARRIED MY MOTHER’S LOVER AS A STAND-IN BRIDE

I MARRIED MY MOTHER’S LOVER AS A STAND-IN BRIDE

"Jane Austin, I'm in a bit of a pickle here." "Sure Lia, I'll get there now. I was actually headed there already." Best friend to the rescue! **** "And that's the last one of them." Jane smiled, placing the last of the paper roses she had made inside the vase. Lia watched her wordlessly, not sure how to thank her. Jane had truly saved the day. Gone were the tacky, unprofessional decorations and now they all looked right, beautiful and perfect. "What do you think Lia? Did I do any better than those guys?"

Desired by my Ex-fiance's Uncle

Desired by my Ex-fiance's Uncle

After a moment of hesitation, she opened the door a little and peeped inside, when she saw no one, she opened it further and stepped in. Her gaze swept over the room once again, taking in its minimalist, yet elegant state. Everything was orderly, the bed was neatly made, and her eyes were drawn to the small bookshelf next to it. Curiosity got the better of her, and she found herself walking towards the bookshelf. “Jane Austen and R.L Stines,” she murmured as she ran her fingers along the spine of the books, “Interesting taste.” Her gaze landed on a picture frame wedged in between the books and her curiosity piqued further as she gently took it out.
