She insisted it was urgent.” My stomach twisted. “Who?” I asked, though some part of me already knew. “Jane Austen.” Ella’s smooth forehead furrowed. “Jane, who's that?” My heart stumbled, then picked up speed. I hadn't taken her seriously when she informed me last night that she was coming to visit. “Jane’s here?” “Yes, miss. She’s waiting inside.”

Jane cocked her brows, her eyes glimmering with mischief, resembling an enchanting fairy, incredibly alluring. She asked, "You’ll take everything?" Zachary's Adam's apple bobbed as he nodded. Jane laughed, articulating every word. "You... can’t... satisfy... me..." Seeing Zachary's ever-changing and unpleasant expression brought her a sense of satisfaction. "As a man, you can't even handle this much, yet you keep complaining to me. I prefer a man who is better in bed. Sorry, Mr. Collins, you're getting old."

“Who’s calling?” Jane’s heart skipped a beat. She did not reply immediately; instead, she told the old butler over the phone, “It’s late. Try and convince Mrs. Dunn that life must go on. Tell her to clean herself up and sleep early because tomorrow morning, she has to go and take care of your young master.” The old butler wanted to add something more, but Jane had already hung up. Only then did she raise her head. “It’s late. You should return to your room and go to bed, Mr. Stewart.” She indirectly tried to get rid of him.

So when I had seen him earlier, he had looked stressed, explaining that they were hanging issues with the wedding preparations and had had to reschedule some things. "You never can tell." Jane mused, bringing out the aqua blue gown she had bought for herself. "As for me, I'm going to find me someone who would grave my bed tonight. It's been so long." I could hear the teasing in her voice, and knew what she was kidding. Buy I couldn't help but wish she did really meet someone who was going to keep her company tonight. After coming out of crazy relationship that had taken way too long to end than it should have, finding someone was definitely going to be a plus for her.

Smith that we were in the middle of discussing about Pride and Prejudice. She looked like a someone who was about to take the biggest exam of their life but wasn’t prepared for it at all. Then it hit me, the real Ms. Smith would know everything about any Jane Austen book, but whoever this was might not and I am going to ask this woman a question from Pride and Prejudice this would prove if she was the real Ms. Smith or a fake one. I put my hand up and ask “Ms. Smith I have a question, why do you think Charlotte accepted Mr. Collins proposal after Elizabeth declined it?”

The time read nine-fifteen PM, Priest had taken about two hours to arrange everything for Elena after taking her home. “Where should we meet?” I finally asked, since this meeting was bound to happen sooner or later I'd rather have it now. “Where else?” Jane chuckled. “I'll be at the manor,” she said, and the line went dead. I didn't say a word and I put the car in drive, Priest remained silent like stone, not saying anything. Jane's manor was a huge estate that sat on several acres of land on the outskirts of town; she'd retired to the manor after I'd taken over the affairs of the company.
