"Mrs. Carter! Welcome. How may I assist?" Karla ignored the bow, voice ice-queen. "Where's Ryan?" Clark straightened, a polite smile on his face. "Out on business, ma'am. What can I do for you?" She claimed the leather guest chair uninvited, crossing her legs elegantly, and pulling a slim cigarette from her bag. Flick—the gold lighter sparked, smoke curling defiant as she exhaled. "Recent contracts for my son, Howard. All of them. I need to review."

The contrast of her—soft, warm, and expressive—against the darkness of the underground fighting world made her look like something otherworldly. And for some goddamn reason, Kane liked hearing her talk. Which was new. He pulled off his hoodie, leaving him in his fitted white t-shirt. He heard her inhale sharply, her green eyes flickering to his exposed arms, where ink covered his skin. The dim lighting in the car made her red hair shine. He smirked as he started the car. "So, uhmm..." she cleared her throat, shifting in her seat. "How old are you?" Kane kept his eyes on the road. "Twenty-nine. You?"

That was all she needed to calm herself down for now. “And Karen?” “Yes?” She noticed a hint of worry that appeared on Karl’s face out of a sudden, making her feel anxious. “I want to ask you a question,” Karl bit his lower lip as he said it. “Did you see my true form?” Karl gulped, and she could see his Adam’s apple move up and down as he asked that question. “Yes. Very clearly,” she answered it while wrapping her hands around Karl’s neck, not taking her eyes off Karl’s brown iris eyes. “And your true form is beautiful. As beautiful as you are, to be honest.”

Dan advises, no bullshit in his tone. Katherine: Hey Josh, it's Katherine from last night. I set my phone down, and, takin a large gulp of my coffee, anxiously wait for a ring. “Okay, what about the other guy?” She continues grilling. Adam’s dark eyes flash through my mind making my body feel warm. I'm not even sure how to describe him.

“Is it okay if I take a seat here?” Steffan nodded, “Sure. No problem.” The lady smiled brightly as she placed her Frappuccino and a small box of macaroons on the table, “Thank you. I’m Karla, by the way.” When Steffan heard her name, he suddenly remembered Karlisle. His heart throbbed even faster since the lady’s name sounded like Karlisle’s. Karla noticed that Steffan was already staring at a blank space so he started to get his attention.

“You can say it now.” He half-smiled, the corner of his mouth going up. “Can I buy you another coffee?” “I have one.” “Can we sit, then?” There was a bench facing the water behind the coffee truck, weathered wood, bolted to the pier. We sat. Karl looked at his coffee cup. Then he took a breath. “I met someone.” I set my cup down on the slats of the bench between us. “Her name’s Lara. She edits cookbooks for Knopf. She laughed at one of my jokes about two weeks ago without flirting about it, and I hadn’t—I hadn’t felt that in a long time. I wanted you to hear it from me.”

Kara began, but she felt the loud pounding of her classmates on the rooftop door flimsily held together by a rusty lock. "Go on. I have all day," the figure laughed. Argh, Kara heard Will and the others groan on the other side of the door. "But you, I'm afraid, may be on a tight schedule." "You're dead. Well, literally. You died in a car accident once, and then reincarnated as Kara Rey in this life. Very interesting. Took us a long time to find you. We're so glad you survived...not really, but you know, the more there is of you to use!"

My hands began to roam, this time, she was wearing a short skirt so it was easy to access her thighs till my hands got to her pants. I flicked my tongue out briefly to steady my breath. Her pant was soaked with her juice. "Are you guys listening to me?" Karol interrupted. It was a good thing that a board demarcated the car in-between. So she wouldn't be able to notice whatever we were doing. "Yes, yes, yes. I agree with you that Chris Brown is a greater singer." Valentina added. "Is Richard sleeping? He isn't saying anything." Karol noticed. "I think so," Valentina said.
