Smirking, Kane pulls his arm loose from my hold and then presses his hand against the small of my back, pulling me against his large and firm body.
“That’s right,” he agrees, turning his gaze to Kevin, who watches us. “You heard her, didn’t you? She isn’t interested in you, so I think it would be best to get that ridiculous idea of marrying her out of your head.”
“Or what?” Kevin growls, unwilling to back down. “What the hell do you plan on doing, pretty boy?”
“Well,” Kane says slowly, a dangerous aura beginning to trickle around him. “I don’t think you want to know what I will do.”
