*** Once everyone filtered out of the room, Lukas raced to her side, wrapping an arm around her waist before pulling her in. "Hello, gorgeous," The King murmured. Before she could burden him with her own set of questions, Lukas leaned over and pressed their lips together roughly. One of his big hands came up to frame the side of her head, hand spanning to her jaw with ease. The kiss was almost lazy like he's got all the time in the world to be kissing her just like this. She was unable to suppress the quiet whine that worked its way out of her throat, cracking through the flimsy apprehension that they were both immersed in.

I gritted out, my tone clear and stable. I could feel his burning gaze on me, Zerth threatening to reveal himself as I used my throne. It wasn't my fault they were too weak to protect themselves from the Demons and Devils of Viagra. Instead, they needed help from those who bare no soul. Thus they pledged allegiance and I became the King of Kings. Either way, all this could be changed in a breathe that I know, that is why I shall see each kingdom crumble before that ever happens. The table shook and I sighed, knowing fully well Fat King Rodrick of the Witches And Wizards was about to open his cowardly mouth,

Five, ten, twenty, fifty, a hundred… The King let out a loud curse from inside his head. And before he could even process what was happening, a huge blow from his back suddenly hit him. He knew that it was fatal as he felt his back getting wet. A loud growl suddenly escaped from the animal, trying to hide itself from the shadows of the forest. But even though the King couldn’t distinguish its scent, he tried to concentrate on the sound of its feet and body. And when he made another attack, he instantly dodged it. But he felt like his feet suddenly became deep-rooted on the ground as he saw the rogue standing before him – with the help of the light coming from the bright moon.

The only way to get closer to the King without suspicion is to take part in the King’s game, win and become his shadow and so I have trained all day and all night to be strong enough to take on that position by his side and from that very position, torture awaits him. I will torment him until he runs mad and dies from the inside before i finally kill him physically and then, I would escape like nothing happened just like he did with Stacy’s death.

KYLIE'S POV The pages of the book whispered a lullaby. It sounded familiar, but I wasn't so sure where I had heard it from. It certainly wasn't from Hannah. "There was once a king. A very powerful king. Waiting beneath the time. Forgotten but never dead." the words were repeated three times, before the pages of the journal fluttered and finally shut close. "oh my gosh." I whispered when I was finally coherent. But my present state of mind didn't last for too long, because I was soon drawn into a vision of Damien standing at the edge of a cliff.

Kane is on top of me, looking down, passion flickering in his eyes as he assures me with just one look that everything is going to be all right, that he’s about to make love to me because he cares about me; this isn’t just sex for him. A scream breaks loose from my throat as everything fades to black around the corners—the bookshelves, the sitting area, the window, the moonlight…. “Stop! Stop right now! I command you!” I hear a voice from below me. I think it’s Lex. But no one seems to care what the king orders, so why would they care about the prince? And then, everything is dark, and cold, with just a haze in my line of sight, as if I’m floating through a dark sky in a bank of clouds.

It almost felt like The King was flirting with her almost. Placing herself in front of him, she stood there and studied him. How the heck am I going to defeat him. He is just as powerful as dad. I hope I do not end up with broken bones. Sighing Lazarus got off his chair and walked to the matt. He looked from Zephyr then to his eldest. Holding up his hand, he then brought it down to give them the signal.

WARD Keena drags me back to the royal mansion. It is like the woman is on a mission. But the last place I want to be is in the royal mansion. I am pretty sure that is where the King is and I know he is going to be waiting for me. First I broke Keena's ankle and then I broke his mate. Pulling me up the stairs to the mansion's front door, it flies open and I see the King standing there with his arms crossed over his chest. His face looks absolutely murderous.
