Rex sighed, “No one can defeat a member of the royal family except another royal family member. I suspect there are other royals alive besides you.” Tom nodded in agreement, “I agree.” “Why?” “Remember? Rogues aren’t supposed to be able to organize themselves and act together,” Rex explained. “Someone must have led them to do such a thing, but who could lead them? Only royal family members would have the presence to force a rogue to obey as every wolf has an instinct to obey the royal family.” Arthur was surprised, and he wondered if he should feel happy. Did that mean that he might still have a brother or sister living somewhere? Maybe Owen was his brother.

I faked a falsetto in amusement. "Same old ginger." Ralyne rolled her eyes as she led the way into the woody forest. "Any changes with Philip?" I questioned while following her lead. "No," she kicked a pebble out of the way and it burst into a hundred pieces as it hit a tree "he's still grumpy, the last healer we found didn't say anything useful so his mood has worsened, understandable if you ask me." Ralyne calmly spoke like we were talking about food.

Roan is in her space, his heavy shoulders blocking the moonlight, his hand hovering over her face as if she were made of glass. Look at her, my wolf snarls, tearing at my mind with savage teeth. Look at the little victim pretending to be afraid while she draws him in. Kill her. Tear her throat out. Break her. "Because I'm tired of running from things that terrify me," Sloane whispers into the dark. "Do I terrify you?" Roan’s voice is lower, rougher than I have ever heard it. "Yes," she gasps. And then she steps into him.

Ayra cursed when she realized that she had broken into a pack territory and from the looks of it, they weren't going to let her go just like that. One of the brown wolves growled and signaled to the others. “Surrender Rogue, don't make us use the tough way on you” the other half naked guy on the tree said. “Never, I rather die than surrender” Ayra growled with gritted teeth, she could feel the world around her spinning but she wouldn't succumb to them. “Then we have no other choice” The last thing Ayra saw before she blacked out was the other half naked guy flipping down from the tree.

As I scan the room, my eyes land on Riley, who is staring intently at a guy across the room. Curiosity getting the better of me, I creep up to her quietly, just to scare her a little. “Boo!” I say. “Ahhh…no, don't do that C. What's wrong with you?” she says, turning back to keep staring at the guy. I squint at the guy, trying to place him. “Wait, is that Drax?...ewwww nooo why?” I say, with a disgusted look on my face because Drax is my cousin.

A murmur spread through the crowd. Some looked pleased, others wary. But Diamond’s laugh cut through the noise like a blade. “How touching,” she sneered. “A rogue king playing alpha. How long do you think this little charade will last?” Darius didn’t even glance at her. “Long enough to ensure you never lay a hand on what’s mine.” The challenge in his voice sent a shiver down my spine. Mine. The word echoed in my mind, stirring something deep inside me.
