She muttered a word under her breath and dad stepped out of the way. Mom thrust her hand forward and the blue ball floated and it tried to get out of the grip. Its flame was slowly burning out. My mom screamed an incantation and she fisted her hand. The ball disappeared in a thin smoke. “Morning, dear.” My mom said putting the scroll down. I felt my skin burning. She turned to dad.

Truthfully I had no idea how much time had passed since Leila and the spell casters had been gone, all I thought of was how I’d give anything for them to overpower those witches. Leila was the most powerful spell caster I’d ever met— and I’d met a shitload of them, some with grey hair that you’d expect to be more powerful then she was— but I was worried that she’d be at a disadvantage while using dark magic because she was rusty with the spells and that was only because I’d banned it for over a decade which meant that she barely had any time to practice while those witches had mastered it over the years. Jeremiah produced something with his magic, then tied up the woman he had been holding—I didn’t know why he was hugging her if she wasn’t Ale. “Wait here!” he ordered firmly to Alea, then ignored her and grabbed Lex, who was spiraling out of control. “Let her go, Lex.” Jeremiah unleashed his magic, sending Lex flying and leaving her staring at him in disbelief. “Kyle... y-you can use magic?” He still hadn’t realized it was Jeremiah, not me. “No wonder they counteracted your spell to leave an escape route. If it were me, I would’ve done the same.” Levi chuckled. “If it were you? Then you would’ve died when casting the spell.” After speaking, his lips curled into a sinister smile. “It takes courage to cast this spell against me. If they use this magic for a little longer, they won’t have a good ending, either.”

Going to Los Barrios, one should find the portal first. The Magicians’ world was as if a mirror world; a dimension inside a dimension. Like spirits, Magicians lived in between. However, they could not see spirits except if they possessed the gift. The spirit world and the magicians should not be confused as one – they were not. There were so many dimensions out there and the human imagination could not confirm yet nor understand the gravity of how the world worked.
