The shelter’s main gate collapsed, and a tide of zombies poured inside, roaring and screeching. “Honey, this one’s on you.” I hid behind her and pointed at the incoming swarm. Ruth raised her hand without a trace of emotion. As a deep, dull hum filled the air, the dozen zombies charging in front exploded instantly into clouds of blood mist. Flesh and blood splattered across the walls. The zombies behind them hadn’t even had time to react before a horrifying force crushed them flat into pulp. This was the S-class ability—gravity manipulation. It was the ultimate wipe-out skill.

A long, dark red piece of intestine was still hanging from the corner of its torn mouth. "Roar!" The zombie let out an inhuman howl and dropped the piece of flesh in its hand before charging at Julian like a rabid animal. "Get away! Get away from me!" Julian was absolutely terrified and swung the kitchen knife wildly, hacking at the zombie's head. But long-term starvation had left him slow and weak. The slash missed the zombie's head and landed on its shoulder instead. With a crack, the rusty kitchen knife sank deep into the gap near the zombie's collarbone and stuck there.

Driven by the scent of the meat, the zombies would mindlessly keep running forward nonstop. The cages were connected directly to generators, which meant those zombies would now produce electricity for me day and night. A few more setups like this, and I’d never have to worry about power again. After solving the electricity problem, the system rewarded me with another huge batch of survival points. And I had already spent part of those points preparing a little surprise for Sharon. The moment Sharon noticed the facial recognition scanner on the gate, her eyes lit up with excitement.
