Inappropriate Conduct
When they parted, Avery rested her forehead against his again, her fingers playing idly with the collar of his shirt.
“So… we’re really doing this?” she asked, a hint of playful wonder in her tone. “Boyfriend, girlfriend, the whole official thing? Labels and everything?”
Levi’s smile was small but certain, his arms tightening around her just a fraction.
“We’re really doing this.”
Avery laughed—soft, happy, the sound wrapping around them both like a blanket.
“Good. Because I already told Jamie we’re official and he’s planning a celebratory dinner next weekend. He said if we say no he’ll cry dramatically in the middle of the restaurant and blame us for emotional damage.”
