THE WIFE HE NEVER HAD, NOW HE REGRETS IT

THE WIFE HE NEVER HAD, NOW HE REGRETS IT

“So, you're telling me that you're willing to marry just anybody? Do you really want your father's company to be mocked that badly?” Our banter was interrupted as Phil rushed out of my father's room while another nurse called for emergency support behind him. I didn't look at Marianne. I shoved past her, taking the stairs three at a time, and burst back into the bedroom. Nurses were already flooding the space. One was prepping a syringe, her hands shaking, while Dr. Phil threw his entire weight into chest compressions. “Vitals are crashing! Blood pressure is non-existent!” “Charge the defibrillator! Now” Phil roared.

In the Next Life

In the Next Life

"But I've already talked to plenty of doctors. The chemo… It's a lie. It stopped working a long time ago. Do you even know what 'terminal stage' means?" He held me tighter. His voice trembled. "Don't say things like that. Let's try treatment first." "If I had a choice, I'd rather just get one shot and end it peacefully…" "Don't talk like that!" Suddenly, I held him tightly. The camera had been tossed aside long ago. What followed were my soft sobs. Then, loud, unrestrained crying. … [In the Next Life — March 15, 2024, 11:13 AM — Let's Meet Again in the Next Life]

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

Rewinding My Reaper Boyfriend

"You broke your leg in three places. That's not efficient. That's messy." "Bone heals. Death doesn't." The door opened. It wasn't the nurse. It was Dr. Evans—the specialist Lysander had recommended. He was an older man with silver hair and a look of professional skepticism. "Mr. Rion," Dr. Evans said, walking to the foot of the bed. "Welcome back to the land of the living. Or the semi-living, judging by your charts." "I am alive," Cale said, his voice hardening. "Barely," Dr. Evans said. He picked up the clipboard. "I've been a surgeon for thirty years. I've operated on marathon runners, free divers, and Navy SEALS. I have never seen a physiology like yours."

Living With a Player

Living With a Player

I was lying in bed inside the nurse's office, still in my soccer uniform. "Thank God you're alive! We thought we killed you!" Terrence was sitting on a chair beside my bed, munching on a double-patty burger. "Seriously, are you okay? You were spacing out in the middle of training. We were yelling at you multiple times, but you just stood there." I placed a hand on my aching forehead only to find it taped up with gauze. I got my things and raced to my car while I was trying to call Psyche, but then I saw her get into Charlotte's car before it sped off.

Living And Dying

Living And Dying

I just want to hit rewind and stop time and stay at the moment where we are all celebrating life. I already told the doctor that I don't want to undergo any treatment. At first, he was trying to convince me that surgeries, chemotherapies are the best for me. Until I told him my side. I remembered how he took a deep sigh and spoke to me, ' Live your days. I'm happy to meet you in this lifetime.' And honestly, it hurts like hell. He is just a doctor to me, but his words left a scar in my heart.

My Contracted Wife Don't Run Away

My Contracted Wife Don't Run Away

She silently left my ward along with Sandra. Dr Phil still remained where he was standing, watching me. "What is it?" I glared at him. Dr Phil was my personal doctor in his late fifties. He's been talking good care of me since I got diagnosed with my sickness. He poked his glasses up the bridge of his nose and stroked his beard. "I did mentioned your health wasn't that critical, didn't I?" I raised an eyebrow. "Yes? So what?" "That was a lie," he revealed. "You nearly died this time Reiner."

Lost in Time

Lost in Time

“But to fully get a hold of it, you have to understand life or the essence of living.” “We’re living if we’re alive, breathing and having fun and death’s the absence of those three,” said Mark. “How about we’ll finish this topic right away, Mr. Peters?” Our cohorts concurred and seconded what Mark has stated. “I wanna be a doctor, not some insane philosopher who can explain death and life,” said Tyler, Mark’s friend, and giggled. “For the record,” said Mr. Peters as laughing subside a bit. “Mark, will you tell me how you knew you’re alive?”

CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Karina asked, confused, but no one answered. Wilfred glanced at her briefly, signaling he would explain later, before addressing the researcher. “I’m at the same level as Dr. Carter. Since when do I need his approval to observe a patient?” The researcher hesitated, clearly reluctant to offend Dr. Carter. “But Dr. Carter is, after all, one of Professor Zeller’s protégés…” Wilfred’s expression turned cold, his sharp eyes cutting like a blade. “When the *Tree of Life Project* was established, it was explicitly stated that all participants, regardless of background, are to be treated equally as researchers.

Books over 500 chapters are not worthy of won’t be reading it. Also if someone rates less than five stars the reviews can’t be seen because they are ordered by stars. GN should improve its system quality and discourage authors for entangled long stories. I have read many serialized books.

Who's the Substitute Now?

Who's the Substitute Now?

Joshua lowered his voice, repeating the question with doubt lingering in his tone. Natasha remained silent. Though Philip's life teetered on the brink, Natasha understood the value of every human life. As a medical professional, she also saw the value in saving Drake's life. There was no distinction in the worth of their lives. If Joshua didn't let go soon, Natasha was certain Drake would suffocate. In Joshua's mind, Philip's life certainly outweighed Drake's. At this moment, time was of the essence for Philip. Natasha believed Joshua understood this urgency, knowing they couldn't afford to waste any time for her to save his grandpa.
