Light Blue Masquerade Masks Novels & Stories

Their alcohol levels were high as well, and Clara was careful to sip at it slowly, although the addictive taste and aroma seduced her to have more. In addition to that, the instructions had stated that everyone was to wear a ball mask, which both the patrons, performers and servers adhered to. She had chosen a black masquerade mask made with flirty lace material to conceal a good part of her face, leaving only her lips and the lower part of her pointed nose bare. Her green eyes shone like those of a cat under the dark lights, attracting different heads which turned to her direction.

Inside: sleek, custom-designed masks that said we RSVP'd with style. I held one up, letting it catch the light like a prize. “This, my dear Ashton, is what cool looks like.” I handed them each a mask—bright, playful things in yellow, green, orange, and pink, all adorned with different floral patterns. Ashton held up his pink mask like it was a dead rat. “Why the hell did you give me pink?” he groaned, his face twisted in theatrical disgust. “Do I look like a girl to you?”

Behind my own mask, I feel strangely free, as if that small piece of red lace grants me temporary invisibility, a chance to be just another servant, indistinguishable amidst the crowd of masked nobles. The guests are evidently nobles, easily identifiable by their luxurious attire and the jewels glimmering in the gentle light. The fine fabrics, rich with intricate details, the silks, brocades, and lace, each piece chosen with utmost care, speak of a life of opulence and privilege. The masks covering their faces are as varied as the stars in the sky, some adorned with exuberant feathers, others encrusted with gemstones, each a symbol of status and wealth.

She dried it and styled it in loose waves that would look elegant under the mask. She did her makeup carefully, highlighting her eyes since that was all that would show under the mask. She used a deep red lipstick that would show through the mask's opening for her mouth. At six thirty, Elena put on the dress. It slid over her body like water, fitting perfectly. The crystals caught the light and sparkled like stars. The backless design made Elena feel both elegant and daring. Then came the mask. Aurora's masterpiece. Elena tied it carefully, making sure it sat perfectly on her face. The midnight blue velvet and crystals matched the dress perfectly.

"I don't love anything about him!" "Then why not continue?" he asks. "Why not insist? What are you running from? You're protected here, this I guarantee you. And if he recognizes you, then you can go. I'll help you and become responsible for getting you out safely. But until then, why not?" I chew my bottom lip contemplatively. This is madness. Ambrose is crazy. "It's a good opportunity. And you know what else?" He walks past me and starts rummaging through the drawers behind me. He pulls out a mask. It's golden. "We had a masquerade theme last year. It'll be implemented for the rest of the month."

A majestic and ruthless cold aura exudes from him, giving one the urge to subconsciously bow to him. On the man’s face was a sleek and metallic cold, black mask that had intricate, sharp, fierce yet minimalistic designs that made it seem as if it wanted to come alive. The mask's eye cutouts are sharp, revealing the man's piercing, deep, and frigid blue eyes. The mask edges were sharp and precise, enhancing the man's intimidation, majesty, coldness, and ruthlessness.

He sighed and brushed his hand in his hair the other hand resting in his pocket and he stopped smiling and said in a deep voice, “Seeing you now is risking my life, you know my first name and for the first time I am not afraid to take such a step.” He turned to me and this time he looked straight in my eyes and he continues, “I will try and come back here to see you. But if I can’t and you can recognize me without my mask when we meet once again, then I won’t hesitate to be yours forever. This I promise.”

I watch him walk out of my room on his wheelchair, shutting the door behind him. I look down again and let out a groan, "Okay, maybe I can bear this." I gave a smile to the lady before I enter the bathroom and took my bath. After countless times of trying out the suits, I chose the white suit lined with blue on the collar and wrist. It looks simple and elegant at the same time. Perfect for this night. The three ladies gave me a thumbs-up and nodded before pushing the smallest of them towards me, "Our lord, the ball would be a masquerade. The King ordered us to hand you this..." She provided a white mask behind her back and give it to me.

The third festival was a masquerade filled with wonder and excitement. Everyone’s true identity was hidden under masks and elaborate costumes. I was wearing a modest white mask and Gregory wore a blue mask with a large bent beak that would have made him unrecognizable had it not been for the fact that I had already seen it before the party. Everyone was anonymous under their mask and I spent a long time trying to decipher the identity of the guests.

People in masks spun near the center, and even though it was called a masquerade ball, people didn't need to cover their faces—the masks were just decorative, some shaped like Lycan heads or skulls for dancing. Some people had painted streaks of color across their arms, and some wolves who'd shifted were challenging each other to strength games while vendors shouted over the music, selling drinks in tall crystal flutes. The scent of wild jasmine hung thick in the air. "It's beautiful," I whispered to Tova, and she handed me a glass of something whitish and sweet. "Wildfang specialty, supposed to calm your nerves," she said. I took a sip and it was bubbly and light.
