Camila I stared at the mirror unsure if the person I was looking at was me. My long black was braided a tone side and left to rest on the other side of my shoulder, my brown eyes were bright yet had a sad gleam to them. I wore a long handless black gown that had a long slit, up to my knee. I applied some lipstick and paired my outfit with a silver pair of high heels.

Past curfew.” She nodded. “He had shrapnel in his leg. If I left, he would have lost it. Or worse.”

Chander's sudden interruption brought her back. "Miss Hila, let me help you take care of the other eleven." She didn't feel light headed or drunk anymore. "Why would you help me? You are in no position to gain anything from their deaths and if you are, just shut it and consider yourself lucky that your competition just got lower." She took off the robe and was left covered by a tiny sleeveless navy blue dress that barely covered even half her thighs. "If Marcus walks out of those prison gates at noon, he’s going straight to Linda’s penthouse. They are going to press the U.S. Attorney’s office for an immediate arrest warrant. We have less than three hours to build a shield."

Lila called out desperately, trying to stop him, but he didn’t even glance back. One of the servants approached to comfort her. "Miss Lila, please don’t cry. It’s not good for your health." Lila had congenital heart issues and had spent years abroad undergoing treatment. Her condition had only recently stabilized. Biting her lip in frustration, Lila’s eyes filled with bitterness. That woman had stolen her brother’s affection. She wouldn’t let her get away with it. ... Selena strolled casually toward the front door when Aaron caught up to her a few moments later.

Ready to fight for her. But fate is cruel. A commotion erupts from the center of the hall. The murmurs swell as the crowd parts. And there she is. Lila.
