Literature Libraries Novels & Stories

༻☆✫☆༺ In the cozy library, filled with soft whispers and the charming aroma of old books, the usual tranquility held sway. It was a haven for diligent students, their heads buried in textbooks as they chased after knowledge and good grades among the comforting stacks of dusty tomes. However, Katherine didn’t quite fit the mold. Numbers and historical facts weren’t what excited her; her heart craved the enchanting worlds of romance and adventure found within novels. Every free moment, when she wasn’t wallowing in dismay over her less-than-stellar academic performance, was spent here, browsing the shelves for a story that would whisk her away completely.

But Lena continued curiously exploring, fully desiring to become a part of Renz's private world, at least for a few moments. Lena had already seen the four libraries of Schloss Wolfenbarger, but Lena thought that Renz's lounge could have been considered a small fifth. There were several tall bookcases, neatly stacked with large volumes and ledgers. Lena briefly scanned the titles, surprised by the names that had been deemed worthy of Renz's private collection. There were several that she knew well with from the hours she stole reading at Sterling Manor, such as Shakespeare and Dante, and illuminated prints of William Blake. There were other names that Lena recognized, but wasn't familiar wit

It was clear that this library was not just a showpiece; it was a place where stories and knowledge came alive. I couldn't help but gasp in wonder. "Raffaele, this is incredible! It's like something out of a fairy tale." His eyes sparkled with amusement as he watched my reaction. "I'm glad you like it. It's been a personal sanctuary of mine for years." The library was a treasure trove of literary wonders. Classic novels, historical tomes, modern bestsellers—all coexisted harmoniously on the shelves. There were also rare and ancient manuscripts displayed behind glass cabinets, their fragile pages protected for posterity.

"Ah. Well, that's not what's important. Do you or do you not know of any libraries outside the Duchy Brother?" "Ha-ha...it's fun as always to tease you lil sis. There are just two libraries in the Kennedy Empire... The first one is a library that can be accessed by nobles. The second one is the Royal Library which can be accessed by ones acquainted with the Royal Family. But if you are the one going, I suggest you to go to the Royal Library." explained Louis "The families acquainted with the Royal Family...?" asked Rubia "To be more specific the houses Charleston and Leonne are the ones that are closest to the Royal Family."

he gave me a small smile and I nodded in return. I left him sitting on the floor, at the encyclopedia corner. We both knew what our goal was, we were not going to stop until we completed it. I guess there was something in common between Beta and Iota after all, their drive. I headed toward the Literature corner, searching for books at the isle of fiction. Our library follows the Dewey Decimal System, so I headed towards CAN. There were four shelves of books dedicated to authors with the surname starting with CAN. I heard myself sigh; this was going to be such a long search.

“Then come with me.” The Faculty of Journalism, English Literature and Language, and Communications held one of the largest libraries of the university. Initially I’d been shocked when Cyrus had told me, pushing open the door and letting me through first, but I supposed that in a way it made sense. There were not only academic textbooks here, but also an entire two floors of fiction.

“Yeah… Animorphs and Goosebumps in elementary school do not a reader make.” “Hey, those are quality pieces of literature!” I declare. “Says who?” “Says me!” I huff, crossing my arms. “And I’ve read other books too! I like Stephen King and Michael Crichton and Neil Gaiman and—“ “Okay, okay,” he surrenders, lifting his hands and cutting me off. “Seriously, though, why are you going to the library?” “I’m going to do some research.” “For what?” “New training methods. Double checking some of the warrior laws for the kingdom.”

Stepping into the vast expanse, I was greeted by the scent of old books and the hushed whispers of fellow seekers of wisdom. The library was a labyrinth of shelves, each filled with countless tales waiting to be devoured. I navigated through the maze, my fingers gently grazing the spines of books, as if seeking a connection with the stories within. The soft glow of reading lamps cast a warm ambiance, creating pockets of tranquillity amidst the bustling world outside.

When they entered the library, Ayla stopped breathing. It wasn’t her first time in a library. She spent time in the royal library of Myrthana. But the Royal Library of Nordmar was at least twice as big as the one in Myrthana. Shelf after shelf of books and more books, from the floor to the ceiling. Sofas and armchairs, tables and chairs were close to the bookshelves. Furs covered the floor, and magic crystals were placed around the library.

Which only made it more irritating. Her gaze moved toward the small stack of books sitting on the corner of her desk — mostly art books and a few random novels she hadn’t finished yet. None of them would help, at least not in this case. Maybe the internet just wasn’t the right place to look. Arabella tapped her fingers lightly against the arm of her chair as the idea slowly formed. Libraries had records the internet didn’t. Old texts. Language archives. Historical dictionaries. She remembered once hearing that the university library downtown had an entire section dedicated to ancient languages and forgotten dialects.
