Apparently, there were four Shade packs in the area—the Blackmoor Shade Pack, Night Shade Pack, South Shade Pack, and the Thornton Shade Pack. Each pack had their own family color of some sort. The Blackmoors were purple, Souths yellow, Thorntons blue, and the Nights green.

I doubted my sanity would remain intact if I were to be left on my own. We all sat in the cozy living room, surrounded by plush cushions and soft blankets. What kind of mother was I?

Bad. Cash and I were the only ones that survived the Nightmare from our family. Mom and Dad were already sick by the time the vampires came to our home to 'save' us. The vamps were only there for me. I let my shoulders sag and glare at Christian like it was his fault Ash's arms had snared me. Christian puts his hands out, palms down, and then flipped them over, showing nothing was in his hands. Then he pretends to empty a non-existent sleeve. "Nothing," he observes. He takes in my unamused expression and stands up straighter. He clears his throat and suddenly I see something change. His eyes seem to become bright orange for an instant, than change back. The next thing I know bones a breaking and his back arches unnaturally backward. Fur spouts from his skin like from some horror movie and his fingers change to ones of a wolves.

There was a dragon tattooed down his whole back. Looked so lifelike. I was half expecting it to start moving. My eyes trailed further down to his lower back, where the letters S.I.X were inscribed. So wait six isn't actually a number, but an acronym? He turned slightly, enough for me to get a view of his front, but not for him to see me standing there.

I turned around. The kitchen was empty. Marcus was dead. The blood was drying. And the algorithm was still playing. "Step six," Morty chirped, "transportation.
