Draco (The Last Dragon Prince)

Draco (The Last Dragon Prince)

Hearing my words, tony pulled out a book from back of his shirt; it was a Grimoire the same one which I kept yesterday in front of him before “Hmmm….. My wife, one who told you about this book” he replied and I took a glance at female karkinos ghost who was floating about him… “This book is my wife possession… no one know where it was except her… and if you found it means you had meet her….” Tony replied in stern voice, his deep eyes were bored on my face…. ‘So the female karkinos ghost who was floating above him was his WIFE’ I thought in my mind, I wasn’t sure of how to explain this person that his wife was dead and it wasn’t his wife but her spirit that told me where this book was…

Just let me be a cannon fodder

Just let me be a cannon fodder

The book refreshed me of the events, but it didn't really have any clues that can point me to what Yvonne's looking for. *CREAK* I sat up straight when I suddenly heard a creak which was followed by footsteps. It was indeed creepy but it wasn't enough to scare me. I'm a 30-year-old doctor who's seen much more things than a ghost. I never believed in ghosts but meeting Nova and even talking to Yvonne was shaking my belief in the possibility of ghosts being a hoax. I believe firmly in the saying that "You should be more scared of the living rather than the dead" and besides, I've seen more guts and dead bodies in my life to be scared of ghosts.

The Beloved Granny of the Death Game

The Beloved Granny of the Death Game

I told them about the freezing winters in my small village, the cozy warmth of my little house, the big barrels of pickled vegetables, the lively feasts during the New Year, and the daily gossip of neighbors… I even talked about how I scrimped and saved to send my adopted boy to school, watched him get married, and dreamed of holding my grandkids someday… It was nothing thrilling, just the ordinary ups and downs of life. The ghosts were mesmerized. Chloe forgot the cold and snuggled closer. The hungry little boy forgot his hunger and propped his chin up on his hands. The poltergeist stopped being grumpy, quietly squatting in a corner. Even the banshee forgot to cry. There was a glimmer of ho

Forbidden Pleasure: Daddy's Favorite Student

Their hands are almost touching. A shiver ran down my spine. Some ghosts don’t need to haunt you. They just wait until you find them again. And tonight, I had.

A Vampiric Kiss

A Vampiric Kiss

He didn’t answer, which, also, was kind of an answer. I wiped the sweat from my neck, the sheets sticking to my skin. “Sorry if I ruined your night stroll.” “You didn’t.” I leaned forward and rested my arms on my knees. “It’s always her. Nadia. She haunts me like she’s still alive in my head.” “She is,” he said. I looked at him. “In your mind,” he clarified. “That’s where ghosts live.” I hadn’t expected that from him. He rarely spoke in full sentences, let alone metaphors. But the way he said it… it felt personal.

The Rejected Goddess

The Rejected Goddess

Chapter 48 The Werewolf Realm While Erin reunited with Kate, Zaki, and Kira on the other side of the territory, Levi and Micha remained in their shared study—facing the Living Book. It floated above the table, its ancient golden letters swirling across its surface like flowing fire. "Dearest reader… let us begin," the book hummed, its voice echoing softly through the room. Levi and Micha sat down opposite each other, bracing themselves. Every session with the Living Book revealed something darker than the last.

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Dog? What kind of dog? Huh? "I do not understand." She stepped up to me a little, looked around in all directions, only to then lean forward confidentially. I automatically came towards her a little, because she was a whole head shorter than me. "The dog, he barked," she whispered mysteriously to me and whoosh, she was back in the house and the door closed. And I stood there as ordered and not picked up. That just couldn't be true! Did only crazy people live in this area? Has it always been like that? Or was I just given the happiness of these extraordinary people? Three bankruptcies in a row. That was really unbelievable!

Entwined With The Alpha

Entwined With The Alpha

“So what was so important you forgot about breakfast?” “You are,” I answered, and though he looked taken aback, he remained silent. Usually, he’d take the opportunity to flirt and try to say impressive words, but right now, he just watched me. Then I told him everything that had happened last night at the bookstore and how I ended up with the books in my hand. “So you saw a ghost?” he asked with narrowed brows. I shrugged. “I don’t know what I saw, but the woman that gave me these from the store didn’t exist according to the salesgirls, and these books that the woman brought from their store didn’t belong to them.”

This was a good good read. Finally a finished book, with good characters, that were fleshed out. Grammar better than most, I wasn’t looking for steamy, but this one is! Would like to read another from this author.

So far this is one of the best books I’ve read on this app, the writer is so wonderfully involved welcoming ideas and comments. Which in my opinion shows how much she appreciates her readers. The amount of descriptiveness, information and detail really helps you visualize what your reading. Thanx!!
